I'm an idiot could you just give us an explanation of your graphs when you get a chance. Thanks a head of time.

GTM kit makes more power sooner on the graph. Thats one of the advantages to the twin system.

NYBladeZ 11-08-2011 02:48 PM

but you're making more top end power more torque on similar boost and this setup is a lot cheaper than a twin setup. I think if you can smooth out the rough edges, get the boost controller setup and show what this baby can do when fully tuned to the current safe maximum limits it'll be an awesome alternative for some.

O&G 11-08-2011 03:03 PM

Yea, I agree, still getting all the little things figured out, but over all I'm very satisfied. I'll have more results asap.

We were having issues holding the correct amount of boost, it would hit 8 psi off the bat and then dwindle down and hold 6psi when we used the mechanical boost gauge on the Dynojet at another shop in town. Installing that boost controller yesterday and leaving it at wastegate boost has made a difference on when the gate opens and it feels more steady. I'll give some more updates when I have my gauge situated and I'm on the dyno again.

just to throw it out there, that GTM stage 2 is Digi's. He's running on a 2.5in exhaust with cats.

Actually, it is JB's.
To clear a few things up, the dyno run stopped at just above 6k RPMs as it was the first tune on the car and we were not attempting to push it yet. The first tune was testing the turbos, lines, pressures, etc. to verify it was all in working order. Later tunes were not done on the same dyno unfortunately so there is no comparison on exactly what the car can do at full range 6-8PSI with a GTM Stage II TT.

Ron 11-08-2011 03:28 PM

oops, nevermind then haha

O&G 11-08-2011 03:30 PM

I was just throwing out a comparison, I saw it on Johnnys computer. It was really more to give everyone an idea about how low this dyno reads, not saying one is better than the other. I don't know anything about that car except that he should take the cats off! Ron, when are we going on our date?

Ron 11-08-2011 03:55 PM

lol date, shut up man they are not supposed to know! I thought you were gonna be there for coffee and cars

O&G 11-08-2011 03:57 PM

Wana hear something hilarious? I went to the Woodlands like a dumbass and then realized it was off freakin 249, said f*** it and went home. I'll b @ our next meet wherever it mite be in town. I need to get more envolved w/ my Z brothers and sisters. I roll w/ a mixed crowd usually, lol.

Ron 11-08-2011 04:02 PM

haha oh man, woke up early for nothing. I might drop by this week at JTran's to check their shop out.

O&G 11-08-2011 04:04 PM

Let me know when so I can roll out the red carpet!

car8oy281 11-08-2011 04:51 PM

all runs on the gtm Turbo kit was made to 7k rpm.wish people would stop making this a gtm vs jtran studios. both kits are completely different from one another. you have two turbid comparing to one. its stupid. we sell gtm kits here. we did a whole 350z with there twin 3076s, cams, and exhaust. our fx runs there cams with the ysi vortech SC.
