I wanna try the r888s but my stance would wear them out quick.
Anyone here around -2 camber ever run those tires? How long did they last you? At those prices I would hate to have em wear out so quick. What's the next best one below that price wise? |

R888's only come in a 285/35/20 and 315/30/20 However 3.3 final drive will always help plus a few other factors. ,

There is Yokohama AD08 that I will try when my RE-11 wear out. reason why ill go with AD08 is because I want 295/30/19 which RE-11 doesn't offer, otherwise I will go for another re-11 without a doubt. Last edited by G37sHKS; 03-07-2013 at 12:32 PM. |

I recently switched from Hankook V12 to Continental DW for the front, and it feels pretty good.
For the rear, I'm still on the Hankook V12. It has been barely 8 months, and it is already getting bald. Decent tire for the money with the amount of power I'm pushing, but it doesn't last as long. I might switch to the Continental DW, but the only size available is 285/35. I've come to accept the fact that with this much power, none of the rear tires is going to last more than 2 years. With my driving habits, I'm doing fine with rear tires costing less than $300 each. Are you guys spinning the tires after the shift, or from a roll? Any of you guys considered upgrading certain components to improve traction?

Awesome... how about replacing the bushings? Definitely tighten up the drivetrain motion, right? I haven't wheel hopped in a long time. In fact, I'm surprised my diff bushing is still intact. I'm at 49k miles.
I might make do with 285/35 DWs, and then consider getting Whiteline bushings for starters. I've not looked into replacing the vLSD yet. My car is still a daily driver, so it doesn't shred tires nearly as much as the Hyundai on snow.

Has anyone changed LSD n stayed with stock gearing? I'm at 534 n mainly jus do street racing so I'm wondering if switchin to taller gears is beneficial to me. For those that went with higher gears did u do it specifically for the drag strip so u don't hve to switch into 5th gear?

Definitely switch to the same FD gear as Mr. Squeeze. He seems to be quite happy with his setup with improved traction and less frequent shifting.

The 3.3 will help you out for sure, my car is mainly for the street as well. I am not sure who else has made the switch besides my self.
