Default 7AT Twin Turbo

Hey everyone! So I just got my Z in june of this year. I have plans to put a TT kit in this winter while it's parked since PA winters aren't very Z-friendly. I already have a good bit of knowledge about FI and TT kits, but I do not know much about putting one on my Z with the 7AT gearbox. anyone who has put a TT on the 7AT or anyone with knowledge about this topic please chime in. Any help would be very useful while I am still in the planning stages of my build.

fyi my Z engine is bone stock 2009 sport/touring 7AT. I do have a F.I. NR CF CBE and NR TP on the way though.

There are a few 7AT with a TT kit, currently people are waiting for the 7AT upgrade from GTM to start pushing the 7AT. Though it seems most are running 400-500whp, the main killer of the 7AT is not the HP but the TQ.

Plus one for the above. There is only 1 SC( GTM kit) G37 over on G37.com, and he is also waiting for the VB upgrade before he pushes the car.. Our VB is the big issue. I know Uprev was working on something with the line pressure but not sure how it went. Lost the thread?

i have also seen something about an uprev TCM tune that basically lengthens the higher gears so they dont burn up but cant remember where i saw it. also i think it was a $600-800 kit for it.

i'm just looking to hit 500-550rwhp and i havent seen if anyone with a 7AT has gone that high yet.

Actually one of the Baker Tuning Salesman drives a AT7 GTM SC kit. Also a stg2 TT AT7 is being built as we speak. Including a built block, project Mu race brakes and DP's w/external wastegates. Its going to be fun.

You take precautions to make sure you don't destroy anything. I have 7AT and GTM Stage 2 TT. I have 25 row Transmission cooler .

i had already planned on a oil cooler for sure and possible the tranny cooler as well. my problem is that i dont know of many places around me who could tune my car for me. i honestly couldnt do it or something would blow for sure lol only place i know of around me is this one place like 25 miles away that has a dyno but idk if they would know enough about the Z's engine and set up to tune it right. they mostly do old school muscle cars from what i understand.

Nice I was thinking off a tranny cooler now, In the summer I can smell my tranny fluid and some anti frezze after driving it hard??? So UPREV did come out with the line pressure tune for FI. Where did you get your tranny cooler from?

Tranny cooler from GTM.

Uprev has some ability to tune the line pressure in the higher gears, where most of the potential problem lies.

w.o.w. what set up and tune are you running with your 7AT TT. just so i have a general idea of what to do with mine.

i'm just planning on the GTM Stg 2 TT, oil cooler, and possible tranny cooler kit to start. most likely just low boost as well like 8-10 lbs until i get the tranny tune figured out.
