As Phunk alluded to, I am not concerned if a turbo is ball bearing or journal bearing. The theoretical improvements on the bench often exceed real world results by a good margin. Ironically, I've seen more issues with oil draining, oil supply and smokey turbos with BB turbos vs. journal and have yet to have an original Greddy turbo fail. We have seen issues when the original Greddy turbos are upgraded after the fact, so we suggest sticking to the 20G unmodified turbo. Anywhere from 400-750whp is acheivable on the same turbo. Couple examples...this one is an automatic trans at just 6psi ![]() 370Z at 5psi ![]()
