The thermal dissipating coating used on radiators for decades is what we apply to the intercooler. It increases the "black body" radiation profile of the heat exchanger.
For those that aren't familiar with heat transfer, there are three main types of heat transfer: convection, conduction, and radiation. The coating used increases the radiation type of heat transfer without significantly reducing the other two types. ![]() |

About as well as the paint on the front of your car.
If I were concerned about the car looking factory fresh 10 years after buying it, I'd do a few things to help, such as a mesh grill in black, and 3M clear bra on the front end of the car. But, if I'm looking for max performance and looks are secondary, I wouldn't even worry about it. ![]() |
