Turbo Timer

Has anyone installed a turbo timer?

I just installed my Apexi turbo timer...everything works perfectly, minus the fact that the ignition doesn't stay on during the countdown :ugh2: The accessory mode stays on during the countdown though?

The handbrake saftey function works...so I'm not exactly sure what I've done wrong. I installed the red wire to 12V constant, green wire to ignition, and blue wire to ignition 2. I absolutely HATE wiring because I always seem to screw up. :shakes head: I used this website as a reference http://www.liquidc4.net/files/DEI_2009_Nissan_370Z.pdf. Could the 2009 wiring be different than my 2010?

I have never installed a turbo timer but I have installed more remote starters then I care to remember.
They do perform a similar function.

With a remote start there is usually two ignition, one start and one accessory output.

On a turbo timer there is no need for a start or accessory so that leaves the two ignition wires.

If you use a multi meter I think you will find that one of your ignition outputs is hooked to the accessory circuit.

I have also found that some new cars need more two ignition wires that require power in order to keep it running.

Sorry I can't be more help but I havent done a remote start in years or on a z so so that's all I can offer.

Good luck.

^thanks for the input.

Can anyone else chime in? I realize there probably aren't very many, if any, using a turbo timer because the GTM kits are water/oil cooled...not sure about the Greedys.

Haha, I planned on it. But since I unsuccessfully installed it Friday, I haven't had a chance to call him. I was hoping I wouldn't have to bother him.

When you bother him you always end up finding useful information from him.

That's very true.
