I've only called for a insurance quote so far. I still have to fix the Z before I get rid of it.

Pull the trigger on a GTR like you told me you were interested in man!

tranceformer 01-20-2012 07:13 AM

Look on the brightside, your time is still in the top 5 on FI 1/4 mile list.

roplusbee 01-20-2012 10:04 AM

If you get a Vipor, I will not be upset at all. Those are pretty serious right out of the box!

chuckd05 01-20-2012 10:51 AM

Hmmmm.... you want to sell your Z as is?:yum: I got a friend with a GTM built HR motor with greddy TT's and a Haltec in his garage that would set nicely in this:stirthepot:

98intrigue 01-22-2012 08:56 PM

I may have flirted with the idea of building the block again... S&R Performance has been going through some changes and I think they are all for the better, but then I'd have a built block single turbo Z that looks stock:rolleyes:

Ron 01-22-2012 08:57 PM

stop wasting ur time thinking about it, pull the trigger, get the thing ready for ZdayZ and give me a ride :D

Hey man you really need to stop with your ******* bitchfest on the forums, I did everything I could, more than anyone would do for your car. I'm sorry **** worked out like it did, but that's life. You were not shorted in the slightest for what you paid, I don't give a **** what anyone else charges or fixed your **** for, that ain't meI understand you think you got screwed over, and I agree in some aspects, but the crying everywhere has gotta stop. It's over, months ago, I'm sick of seeing **** pop up everywhere. I dont treat any cars or customers of mine unfairly, your not hurting us whatsoever business wise, we're busier than ever, so I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve?

My response:

If you're busier than ever, why does it matter? I never brought my issues up anywhere except for my thread on the370. Shall I go on 6speed and any other forums and post my experience? Someone asked for an update on the bimmerforums thread, so I gave them an update. I did get screwed over! I paid a lot of money for problems that were due to your (Lutz) negligence. I understand things happen with custom builds, that's why I wasn't blaming you for the overheating or the retunes I needed. That was $1000 right there I wasted. I blame you and Lutz for my $2000 repair bill, the 4 days I missed work, $200 tow bill, and hotel stay. I blame you guys for my car running like crap because you guys never did fix my intake piping like promised. I blame you guys for taking a month to let my car sit while a 30 minute wiring job was done. You guys never offered to help out after the problems started. I said YOU went above and beyond at the beginning, but once I broke down in Georgia, I wasn't even given a second look.*

What a roller coaster ride. Reminds me of the work I did on my Honda VTX1800. I met the Lutz crew at Bradenton last week. Sounded confident, listened to my requests and said he had a top notch VQ team. Also said there would be no problem getting my car in and out in one day (F.I. exhaust and Stillen G3 install) but after reading this adventure, it is very clear to me that concern for the customer falls away after the bill is paid. They missed an outstanding PR opportunity but as the fabber said, he wasn't interested in making kits...only one off applications. He'll have plenty of suckers to keep him in that Turbo BMW but thanks to you, I won't be one of them.
Would you mind PMing me someone in the Tampa area capable and trustworthy of doing my CAI and F.I. exhaust. I'd appreciate it.

Footloose301 01-26-2012 05:03 PM

Installing an exhaust and intake is actually fairly simple and can be done in 2-4 hours depending on skill level.

We can have a mod day. I'll save you $300-400 of installation costs and you can learn a thing or two. Donations, beer, or food would be a generous offer but not necessary.

Whether it be 1 person or hundreds, anything I can do to get people to stay away from Lutz is a plus in my book! The only reason why they are trying to get into the VQ game is because 2 former S&R Performance employees now work for Lutz...1 being a good guy and the other being a joke.

He wasn't employed by Lutz at the time...he was still at S&R.

So, the DEMON BOLT can be resolved in a driveway? I like your suggestion and am normally good with cars (the easy ones...carbs and headers...these imports and ecu's scare the crap out of me...especially when it's on the DD and there is no spare...lol) I am waiting for the parts to come in but am open to your offer. Besides, I could finally meet some of you "pioneers" here.

roplusbee 01-28-2012 06:59 AM

The demon bolt is a chump when you have a cutting wheel or someone with experience to assist you. We used the cutting wheel on the midpipe flange, lol! Dai was there...........

O&G 01-28-2012 08:01 AM

Long extension, beer and a breaker bar demon bolt dies! Build your motor 98 cya in May for zdayz. K thanks!!

Only if it was that easy! Haha. I don't know if ZDayz has enough room for 2 single turbo 40ths.

How much did you make on that Mustang Dyno? Thing reads stupid low. Yea we are putting in my new clutch disc next week and he wanted to show the car off so I left it there. Automodia.com is doing a piece on the shop next week so they wanted the car for that as well. I was pissed I couldn't make it, got halfway to San Antonio and the Doc told my sis to go back home :/ so I wont be an uncle for a few more weeks apparently.

Also, how much did the Ferrari make?

Ron 01-29-2012 11:43 AM

Made 302/257. Hood closed, stock cats, FI exhaust, G3 intakes. I got a woooot! from the people standing by lol. I didn't see a Ferrari in there :( Hope all goes well with ur sis!

O&G 01-29-2012 11:47 AM

thats great power man, good ****! My bolt ons only got me like 289whp, damn nismos! My baseline was 260whp 209wtq LOL. Look forward to seeing you around the shop more often and the sis is hanging in there but she is ready to kill someone, probably the doctor, lol!

^Hahaha. One day...

I'm going to try to remove my springs, camber arms, and gauges this weekend. Then I've ready talked to a friend about taking out my ACT 6-luck, Fidanza flywheel, and ZSpeed hd CSC. Then the car will truly be back to stock...aside from the fuel pump. I'm not even sure if that's worth my time.

blackonorange 02-03-2012 05:06 AM

Rear camber arms?

98intrigue 02-28-2012 09:29 PM

Update:
The clutch and flywheel came out this weekend. The H&R springs and SPC camber arms were removed 2 weeks ago. The HD slave cylinder is still in there though :/ The fuel pump will most likely stay put. I'll remove the gauges this weekend and am ordering a lower radiator hose and coolant overflow tank tomorrow...car will be good to see a Nissan dealer soon :)

I just got back from skiing in North Carolina...I REALLY want to go to ZDayz still!
