The pic where your tapping the block is that a flange to help with aligning the tap?

Yes. That's exactly what it is.

Even with this it's still extremely nerve racking to drill into the head. I wasn't sure I had done it right until I was able to tighten up the manifold. Hell, I'm still worried that I did something wrong. I guess I'll find out the first time I push the start button.

I know the feeling. I have it everytime I do an install. If the manifold tighten up it should be fine. Props for doing this yourself. Can't wait to do mine also. Might be awhile for. By the time I do it, I might as well go with a built short block.

Was that flange provided in the kit? Or is that something you happened to fab up? If not can you point me in the direction of where I could possibly get that jig in order to drill and tap my head. Thanks in advance!

The flange came with the kit. I don't know how you can get another. You could try to contact the new owners of the kit manufacturer and see if they can get one to you.
I sent the one I had to another member on here about a year ago but I can't remember who it was. Start a new thread and see if someone has one from their install. They aren't needed afterward.

Do you by chance have any info on that flange jig that was used for tapping the head in order to put on the passenger side turbo manifold, i.e. If it was part of the kit itself or do you by chance know where I can acquire one?? Thanks in advance!
