PC for running UpRev software
All,
I am about to get my Supercharger delivered from GTM soon. I don't have a Windows based laptop. I was looking at getting some sort of cheap laptop just for running the UpRev suite of software. Is a net-book going to be enough computing power to do the job??? Thanks.

What sort of laptop do you have? If it's an Intel-based MacBook, have you tried running Windows on it? Either that or cheap netbook like you mentioned that you can use for logging, tuning, etc.

Just looking for a cheap net book. Want something small.
UpRev says 600Mhz. So a net book should work

yeah. just bout anything cheap will work. dont spend money on it if its not going to be your primary computer. I have used a netbook to run the software.

Keep an eye on slickdeals.net and outlet.dell.com for good deals on computers.
Dell Outlet deals come with a 1 year warranty just like any of their stuff so its worry-free |

I'm using a Dell Mini 1018 for UpRev, works fine. You can pick them up (not even on sale) from $300 from Dell. 10" screen, Atom processor, ships with Windows 7 Starter (which works fine for UpRev). At that tiny size it makes a nice little travel netbook anyways.
