Custom Stillen 370z supercharged

First I would like to thank Weiboy 718 for the kit. I also would like to thank Josh from Stillen who help me out with getting parts that I needed also Sam from GTM as well. Now I know there are a lot of people that do not like the Stillen kit because of some of the issue's that some people have had with tunes from them. My car is a custom set up I am running more boost than anybody that has this kit or any supercharger I think on a 370z. I am full aware of the risk that I am taking on my own.

Set Up
1.Stillen 8 pound pulley, 928 motorsports impeller
2.Vortech Cog pulleys on the back of the blower to increase boost
3.Motordyne ART Pipes
4.fast intentions exhaust
6.Deatschwerks 600CC injectors
7.Deatschwerks 300 LPH fuel pump
8.CJM Installation Kit
9.Stock clutch and flywheel
10.Turbo Smart bypass valve

My car was Tuned at RT/ Tuning in Lansdale Vince the owner/tuner is great I wouldnt trust anybody else tuning my car he did a great job. For anybody that is in the area check them out.

The install was done by my self and my partner. The car is making 10.5 to 11 pounds of boost at redline on 93 pump gas.The car drives like stock idle's smooth it feels a lot like my vortech 350z I had that made 414whp and 350 torque.

I will put up some pictures of the car later but here is the graph for now.

My old 350z vortech blower and Stillen blower side by side.

Cog pulleys removed from Vortech bracket and installed with cog belt on Stillen bracket.

Stillen blower opened and impeller removed.

My car ready to go under the knife lol stock with only 2600 miles on her.

roplusbee 04-07-2011 11:35 AM

Interesting setup. The 928 motorsports impeller was used for greater perfomance / efficiency or just a better quality product?

partsguy 04-07-2011 11:48 AM

I'm in for the (expected) melt-down!!

It was changed for performance.

roplusbee 04-07-2011 11:58 AM

Roger that. Sounds good so far. Guess we will see how it all works out in the future.........

RCZ 04-07-2011 11:58 AM

Awesome results man! I want to know about the impeller too!

Interesting that we are pretty close hp wise, but you have a bit more torque! I think my numbers were 455/335 on STD Dynojet.

Thanks man the impeller has been ran on Vortech 350z's for a while now I am the first 370z to do one. As far as power goes I am done for now I have other plans right now.

Yeah I seen your post and your SAE dyno graph I compared our SAE numbers and the power more under the curve my SAE number's are 450WHP and 350tq. Yours were 432whp and 324tq. Also your car has stillen's 9 pound pulley I still have there 8 pound on the front and no headers.

I also remember you saying STD for your car was 455 WHP in your journal If you want more info on the impeller check out the link.

Yep, sounds about right too since my dyno was at 9psi and you're making 10.5-11psi. Its actually really good that you did this because now I know what would happen if I moved up to a 10psi pulley. Looks like its worth a solid 20whp/25wtq for the extra boost.

Right now my car doesnt make a steady 10-11 its weard its more in the 9-10range with a spike here and there. I ran out of MAF' voltage as well at 6900 rpm. The impeller alone would make a difference on your car with power under the curve. Later on I am going to try a different intake set up but for now I am happy.

As far as boost goes I dont see any problem running more boost as long as the tune is good with the supercharger peak boost is up stairs for a quick sec anyway.

RCZ 04-07-2011 12:26 PM

How hard is it to replace the impeller? PM'ing you, got some other stuff to discuss :)

Vince@R/T 04-07-2011 01:11 PM

Looks great Cliff was excited with out things turned out yesterday as well!!!!!

I wanna do what we talked about yesterday about the piping as well as add an IAT gauge after the stillin after cooler to get a true value of IAT. From there we should be able to see if we have room to run a lil more boost and maybe upgrade the front heat exchanger as well.:tup:

SkyZ 04-07-2011 04:10 PM

Hahaha in for some SOUNDSSS!!

Did you go with the Fast Intentions w/ the 12" resonators or 18"?

Mr&Mrs 04-07-2011 04:44 PM

Nice glad to see another happy stillen customer.

esfourteen 04-07-2011 05:51 PM

No resonator at all I have Motordyne ART they are pipes resonated.

LostMarine 04-07-2011 07:26 PM

Congrats on the build! Looking forward to seeing it in action! ;)

I was looking for a video everywhere with someone with test pipes and non resonated fast intentions exhaust. How's the rasp?

It's not to bad for my ears also my car is not a daily driver. However I will say this I ran these same pipes on my 350z with my Vortech kit.The ART pipes did tone down my exhaust on that car compared to resonated test pipes. On this car I wouldnt know the difference because I have just the ART pipes.

Thanks LostMarine we all will meet up soon.

For sure we will work on it

A.J@CarbonSignal 04-08-2011 08:06 AM

Good job for a DIY install...How do you compare the power to your previous 350z?

It feels a lot like my 350z did just with more top end.The thing with this car is I really thought I was going to make some more power. On a 350z I would have maid more with this same pulley set up and impeller upgrade. But that car would have been on the edge with a stock block. For right now I am done as far as power goes for a while.

BLM 04-08-2011 09:27 AM

Any particular reason you chose this over a TT setup?

The price I got the kit used plus I knew how to get some good power out of it. If I was in the market for a new kit I would have went twins for sure.

Blaizon 04-08-2011 09:27 PM

Great job Squeeze! You guys are making me have to step up my game to keep up :)
