Does this sound reasonable for an SC?
Hi guys,
just wanted some more advice in terms of pricing for a couple parts for my Z. For service only, at a rate of $100/hr, My shop charges me : a stillen supercharger kit = 15hr x $100 = $1500 stillen dual exhaust = 4hr x 100 = $400 stillen headers = 4hr x 100 = $400 Do you guys think this is this a reasonable amount to pay for these mods? This is my first time so I'm jus a little worried of getting tricked thanks ppl |

Exhaust will only take 4 hours if the car was on a lift 7 feet off the ground and the mechanic was 4 feet tall.... With one arm... And no thumb on the arm he has....
Supercharger im not sure But if your doing headers get test pipes too. Why leave te factory cats in |

Exhaust should take no longer than 1 to 1.5 hrs. Closer to 1 hour b/c it's a direct bolt on. The supercharger install time sounds right.

You're a college student at Boston University, so why do you give a f@#k about a car or any other vehicle? College should prove to be one of the best times of your life, why SC a Z when you have college? Curious minds want to know.

1. Supercharger is a ok price 2. Exhaust that is way over priced 3. Headers thats a very good price for a install. |

+1 on the exhaust being way too high. Price for SC install is OK, I don't know about the headers but the exhaust took my guys no more than an hour. I watched it being done and they would have been even quicker if I had not been there BSing while it was being installed. I have the Stillen SC and Stillen CBE btw.

They may be saying 4hrs for the CBE because of the headers. The headers will take some time, ask if they are going to drop the motor.
As for the actuall price of the CBE install, it is too much and they should not be charging you the 4hrs for the exhaust seeing it will only take about 1 hour or less. I say do the CBE yourself and take it in for the rest. |

Heya Geo, did you already purchase the headers? If not, save the money; they won't give you any more power combined with the sc and cat back. If anything, get the high flow cats.

Remove the Stillen Superfarter = PRICELESS.
