PerformanceMotorsport: 1st NorthEast GTM TT Nismo 370z

Hey fellas

Presenting member "Nismo370z" Jeff's GTM TT Nismo 370z! 1st Nismo on east coast to pull it off.
Sam, I have to say, this kit is awesome and definitely compliments the 370z very well. Its so nice that I had to pick up a new 370z for myself ;), so I'll be posting that up as well. Our salesguy has his GTM TT on his car as well.

Just a quick run down of his parts:

GTM Stg1 TT Tuner Kit
CJM Stage 0 Fuel Return System
ID 725cc Injectors
255lph Walbro Pump
PerformanceMotorsport 25Row Oil Cooler Kit
OS Giken Twin Disc Clutch & SS line
UPREV Pro Tune

Car drives unbelievably smooth but definitely still lights the tires up! Currently running at 486rwhp @ 6psi of boost. Ready to drop a boost controller on this thing and turn it up a little ;)

Definitly bro, this sat may just work out perfectly too. I'll let you know.

I'm close enough to Newark and considered 'old school' when it comes to these streets, but man do I remember some good racing rivalery from LI heads to nwk to south jersey...good times!

Is this the shop that Junior is apart of? Forgive me cus its been awhile but I heard he moved to LI.

Nismo370 03-03-2011 10:15 AM

Junior used to work at BMTranny (before they got bought out by TurboTrix) back when DSM's ruled the streets. I know years ago he opened up shop in LI and he's a very well known Supra guy...tunes a **** load of scooby/evo's as well. Just wondered if it was coincidence.

pssshhhh its RaceLogic you know its gonna hook... lol how about this... I stay on spring pressure and turn my boost controller off. Still not a fair fight but atleast you can say "I almost had him until he shifted to 2nd...." :bowrofl:

Vegitto-kun 03-03-2011 03:36 PM

need more clips of the noise and driving.

I was raging at the stupid drums.

I don't want to hear drums when the car is on the dyno but the engine. :shakes head:

I don't know man...I hope you bring your MT's. I've seen faster cars fail on the street because they thought they could race on 20's, ROFL. But seriously, can we do these match ups when its warmer? Blah - its saying rain for this weekend.

My good buddy has Race Logic on his 1000whp Supra...stunning. It really is amazing how well it works.

Nismo370 03-03-2011 05:17 PM

Hey buddy how much power did u make with you gtm sc?

~444whp and 350wtq. Very linear though. Hitting 9psi up top. Although, with the new BoV, I'm making slightly less boost. Its adjustable so I have to find that sweet spot to make more boost without the fluttering. Haven't messed with it yet. If I get to go on the dyno on Saturday that might be a good place to fool around with it.

AdamX 03-03-2011 06:29 PM

Jesus this z looks so great..

haha Sorry. This is just a teaser type of video. I just wanted to showcase the car itself to strike interest for the upcoming video with the car. The next video will deff. have more engine audio and less music. I promise.... BUT... You have to stay tuned :)

Do you guys have exhausts in stock at the shop? I actually have to work Saturday to prep for a show we're doing but I'm almost positive I can have a friend drive it up. My exhaust is torn up though. Did a couple rally runs and its banged up!

dark_nismo 03-04-2011 01:13 AM

It's funny how you guys in the east coast react to F.I. You should see how many T.T and S.S Z's are in the meets out here. Still, Congrats on your new twins. Enjoy them.
P.s: everyone knows Twins will spank a Supercharger any day of the week!!
Thought I stir things up. -that's the direction I'll be going (T.T) in the near future.

zman1910 03-04-2011 01:36 AM

in for vids

LOL!
You have met your bro from another mother!
I know he'd be down 100%.
Bergen County.
Jeff's Z is definetly fast lol I've seen it in person and man does it move!

BLM 03-04-2011 04:43 AM

Any estimates on how much power and torque the stock internals and transmission can withstand?

Z eliminator 03-04-2011 07:40 AM

" twins will smoke a SC any day or the week "
We will see about that. It should be a good run in the 1/4 mile.
if Jnaut put a stage 2 GTM on his car it would run easy 11.4's.
Mine should go at least 11.5's when ever Sam dilivers it to me.

SPOHN 03-04-2011 08:25 AM

So your saying this is the first GTM kit to be "physically" installed on the east coast for a Nismo?

we're confident enough in saying that 550rwhp would be the most and that's on borrowed time. probably 1-2 years daily driven. understand this is all an estimate based on a seeing vq37 internals.

we can confidently say low 500's would last a good 40-50k miles, assuming the car gets maintained and taken care of very well.

LOL, except in the east coast we'll 'run what we brung' and spank most of those pretty little trailer queens from the west. :stirthepot:

...dont sleep on the charger. Trust me, I'm a winner.

Side note: This is all in good fun obviously...I hope no one is gettng butt hurt!

That's really not bad at all. Aside from Supra's I don't know of too many cars in the price range of the Z that can withstand close to twice the amount of power from the factory on stock internals. I guess the 4G63 DSM's were good like that, but they were far smaller motors.

Just out of curiosity, what do you guys do with 400+ rwhp? Drag racing? Highway pulls? My angle is auto-x and road courses/time attacks so most of my mods will be brakes, suspension, etc. The car is stock and I'll only be doin bolt-ons and keeping it all motor. I consider myself an intermediate level competitive driver and even from the factory this car is terrific in terms of power. What's more, on a day to day basis I dont really find anywhere to punch it for more than a few hundred feet. Idk what i'd do with all that power. Plus it's rwd power. Even in a GT-R around a track you need to be a fairly advanced driver to get the most out of it and have multiple laps to even get used to the car and how much power it has.

I'm not disparaging anyone's desire to go FI and make a buttload of power, but I am supremely confident that very few, if any people driving cars with this much horsepower can do much more than hold on for dear life in a straight line. That being said, if straight line power is the goal, why not get large displacement american V8 that makes more power out of the box, is cheaper to mod, and mod for mod makes more power? Again, to each his own. Just wondering about the thought processes here.

John@Z1 03-04-2011 09:42 AM

In for dyno sheet.

rh_334 03-04-2011 09:50 AM

So are you saying this is the first 370Z Nismo with a GTM TT INSTALLED on the East Coast? Because that may be true, but there is one in ATL but wasn't installed there.

And also i noticed in your sig "#1 GTM Installer" "#1 Uprev Tuner"

How many GTM Kits have you installed?

How many cars have you tuned with Uprev? NA and FI?

How long have you been working on VQs? I have been around several years and have never even heard of your shop. So i assume you have no experience with the previous platform (VQ35)
