I hope it doesn't tune into that either. I am actually happy to see that someone made 8 PSI with the kit and my full exhaust. It goes to show you that it all can work together when all of the components are doing their job!

Now as far as making 460 at the wheels, c'mon thats bogus. The Stillen/Vortech head unit moves much more volume and to the best of my knowledge they haven't even seen those kind of numbers, (YET)!

If you want to make 450+ you are going to need to turbo the car, plain and simple!

speaking of headers, i heard a rumor that GOOD headers have equal length runners ... any truth to this?

That is what they claimed but has anyone with their kit that has done an independent dyno ever achieved that? If so, it would be news to me! From what you wrote the numbers do not add up.

The garbage idea of leaving a stock exhaust on a force inducted car is one of the most outrageous things that I have ever heard...

I did. AND i have stock exhuast on from the convertible which is supposed to be just a little more restrictive. Nothing else done to it. I dont want to get a louder exhaust becuase its already really loud with the top down.
OH i got
430HP/ 340Tq

Sibze 02-28-2011 10:18 PM

Pictures of the 430?

So...GTM advertised 460whp at 8psi on 93 OCT w/ 2.5" exhaust and 420whp @ 8psi with stock exhaust in their press release and Dreamer made 394whp with longtube headers and full exhaust.

Um. Ok?

Really dude... you're getting very, very annoying.

DIGItonium 02-28-2011 11:58 PM

Regardless of the VVEL limitations, it appears the power curve is smooth and comfortable to drive throughout the rev range. There's not much to brag, but as long as it makes the car more fun to drive in any gear who gives a crap other than... where's the vids?

I hope VVEL gets cracked soon.. This is like waiting on an unlock for my iphone 4.. No bueno!

You guys should leave RCZ alone. his stillen works and makes good power.
He has made some good contribtions to the 370 z forums.
Everybody has there opinons. It why we have this forum.
If Shumby and RCZ have different veiws good for both of them.
Im still waiting for my stage 2 GTM ( since Feb 2010) at least he has a SC car to drive and according to Jnaut. it runs very well.
Everybodys RWHP #'s are slightly inflated on there products
I persoanlly went with the GTM . If i do not have the stage 2, traction control and Up rev by April 2nd and miss the opening drag racing day up here i will have lots to talk about
I will be looking for a big refund check from GTM.
In fairness he did offer a stage one and a slight used stillen kit.

Headers and high flow cats will cost you boost and RHWP.

Just like Drag Radials will cost you E.T's at the track :ugh2:

Clearly the GTM stage 1 kit does not flow enough air plain and simple look at the graphs his numbers start to die off after he hits 8psi.

Secondly dont hold your breath for the stage 2 kit...

It should be noted that Shumbys car is a 7 AT. The car that GTM used was a 6 MT. There will be a few extra rwhp as the difference of loss in the transmisions.
I would expect his car to make 416.76 rwhp @ 8 lbs.

Relax im not picking on RCZ. Both stillen and GTM are good companies and both have their pros and cons. Everyone has different car setups so there bound to produce different numbers. I just find it interesting that we see more GTM superchargers then stillen superchargers. Numbers speak for itself. As long as there happy with it, that’s all that matters. Its good having people like theDreamer explaining the process of how he got those numbers with his LTH and supercharger. That setup his has is something that the community has been waiting to hear. I am glad he did it.
Sam at GTM, I stopped by his shop a few times, I can see why he is busy as he is. Good things happen to those who are patience. Sam is a very knowledgeable when it comes for imports and z's.

wishihadnav 03-01-2011 11:11 AM

solid numbers..glad to see it worked out for you.

One_Quick_Z 03-01-2011 11:17 AM
