MPG with a supercharger

In a cruse 70-80 MPH what MPG are you getting and what supercharger do you have??? I drive alot, I put 6K on my car in 2 months. I can afford to loose some but not much. That is the main reason I'm looking at NOS. Thanks.

If potentially losing a few MPGs is something you can't afford, is a supercharger something you can? Not trying to be rude, but seems like an odd consideration given the investment of a S/C.

He said he could to lose a few mpgs....if you are not going to answer the mans question why say anything at all?

I suppose you think your post is more relevant to his question? :gtfo2:

With the stillen kit my mpg was around 14. I can't comment on the gtm kit yet. Since I have only filled up a few times. I would say if you are going to choose a kit get go with gtm. They are worlds apart

weiboy718 02-24-2011 11:34 PM

on my way back from Socal last Saturday i made approximately 320miles on a full tank with GTM S/C wherea the Stillen S/C made a maximum of 270 miles on a full tank. all freeway driving btw.

GTM is the way to go.

modme 02-24-2011 11:55 PM

GTM supercharger will probably get you ~ 20 Miles Per Gallon
Stillen supercharger will get you Mad 15 times Per Gallon

I think weiboy would concur.

:rofl2:

OP, your mileage is going to depend on the tune, and how you drive. With a good tune, and staying out of boost, you probably won't lose much in terms of gas mileage.

Sorry to resurrect an old dead thread, but does anyone have more info on this? For example, how much might one expect to lose in city driving and highway driving respectively rather than an average since we don't know how much each driver will do city vs highway? I could stand to lose a few MPG, but someone told me I should expect to lose like 5+ which would put me ridiculously low since I already have 4.08 gears.

I doubt you'd get more than 10-11 on a 7AT with a SC and 4.08s

And please someone tell the man than 4.08 and forced induction is too much, especially on the 7AT
