Forged Performance: First G37 Coupe Greddy TT

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to share a recent project we just completed. For this project we decided to adapt a Greddy TT Kit from the 370z and install it on a G37 Coupe. Many of our customers have long wanted another TT kit option for the G37 and with Greddy's support we determined what changes would need to be made to the 370Z kit in order to adapt it to the G37 Coupe. Turns out that almost no adaptation was required aside from relocation of a few items due to the automatic transmission coolant lines. We also had to fabricate a bracket for the adaptive cruise control distance sensor. It's amazing how well the kit fit when it's not even technically designed for the G37 Coupe. The kit shipped the day we ordered it was well packaged, and was missing zero parts. The kit does not require any special driveline spacers or aftermarket steering couplers, making installation a breeze. We managed to achieve 440whp on our dyno dynamics at a very conservative wastegate pressure of 6psi. The big 20G turbos can produce 700whp+, but still spool very quickly and are happy at wastegate pressure. As always, I calibrated the factory ECU with UpRev's Pro Tuner software. This particular vehicle is an 08 G37 5AT with about 40,000 miles on the odometer. The owner lives in Texas and drives the car every day, so reliability and OEM look feel are extremely important.

Seriously this is one of the best looking cars that's come out of our shop. It's a perfect combination of power and class. I didn't want to see it go, but alas, the client flew in from Texas and proceeded to drive it straight home 12hrs without missing a beat. Next upgrade is a Big Brake Kit! :)

Simple, reliable, clean, and undetectable from inside the cabin.

I have to tell you guys. I had just happen to be there the day this customer picked up his car. This baby is sweet and super clean. I love the hood on this car. The owner was a very nice guy. And after talking to him he is defiantly a car lover. There's no doubt he drove all the way home smiling. Props to Forged.

If that is an aftermarket front bumper, it almost looks built for a TT kit's filter placement. All that fresh air... :yum:

ThoriumHotdog 02-03-2011 06:04 AM

Sick.

fstrnldr 02-03-2011 09:18 AM

Oil cooled turbos and no oil cooler on a VHR engine? or is that just missing in the pics?

Thanks for the comments!

The Topsecret bumper was a perfect match for this set up. Complimented the intercooler nicely.

Good Lord - so many nice builds popping up, I fear I am being left behind somewhat

phunk 02-04-2011 08:08 PM

I was there the day the owner picked it up(nice guy). He drove it back. Think he was dreading it. But doubtful being it was FI.

CBRich 02-05-2011 04:46 PM

Filter placement ended up being perfect.

Wow, look at those curves! Torque seems to just sit there across the chart.

In part because they are scaled very poorly.

christian370z 02-10-2011 06:26 PM

Well yeah, but it still is good looking solely at the numbers across the graph.

tommyguns 02-10-2011 06:57 PM

VERY CLEAN INSTALL. Nice come back after some bad press, good for you! :tiphat:

Yeah, did not mean to indicate the numbers were bad, but to get a better idea of the curve it would make more sense to scale it with less white space.

wayneosan 02-10-2011 08:26 PM

Nice!
