Default Gtm sc and racelogic question

Hey fellas I have a quick question for hose of you out there with forced induction. In about six weeks I will be getting a sage1 sc from gtm installed on my z. Sam also has a deal where you get the sc oil cooler and the racelogic traction control module installed. My question is is it worth the extra $ for the traction control or would that money be better spent on brake upgrades. Would love to hear from anyone who has expeience with the racelogic traction control system. Thanks!

That supercharger isnt going to do you any good unless you have traction. With that much power you can lose traction in first 4 gears if you wanted. But just a note. I do not have it on my car.

IMO...upgrade your brakes first after the SC. Test out the new thrust and see if you really need a traction control unit.

TCU is nice but if you are going one or the other i say breaks. Now with that said Ask Sam. He is an honest guy and will give you the truth. He is not just in this to make a sale. He will talk to you see what you are looking for out of your kit and let you nkow what to do. He is definatly not a guty to tell you to getsomething just so he gets a few extra dollars

Since your wife drives the car harder than you do She would be the one who would need the traction control. When i get my SC with the TC i will let you know how well it works with the 4.08 gears.

Still waiting for her call.

Bullitt should have a review of the unit soon, interested in some user insight. if it will work on almost 1000hp build, should have no problem taking care of 400-600whp.

There are a few cars that already have it one being a nismo Z and SCer I believe... Check out Sam's You tube page it has videos of that Z and you can hear traction control cut on

Cool thanks guys. Think Im gonna go with the traction control and add the brakes on later as I will be able to do that myself as opposed to putting in the traction control myself. Thanks

I noticed the RaceLogic unit was 2k+ from GTM. Does anyone know if this the installed price? I am curious because the unit is only $595 euro on the RaceLogic site which is approx ~ $810 usd. There seems to be very few places to buy it in the US.

well don't hold me to this. The unit you get from GTM has all the bells and whistels and when i was looking at race logic website the one you are refering to i think doesn't ave everything. I found there website to be a little confusing. None the less though I think sam has to make a wiring harness for you and all to make this work. I also believe the price includes the tuning part of it so you get as much from it as possible. I want to say no on thats the price installed because when i spoke to sam that was the price for me also and we both know he isn't installing it since I am on the other side of the country

Thanks Frank, I guess that makes sense. I have been interested in it, but I am also on the east coast. I plan on getting the GTM SC installed in the next 2 months at Hill's Garage. I'm not sure if the traction control is something they could install as well. I guess Sam would know.

they should be able to install the RaceLogic TC system. Sam has great instructions on all of their products and they document everything.

When people and shops get GTM installs wrong its because they didnt read the instructions...
