I'm in the same boat. I had the 350Z for 6 years, and the only major mods were intakes, wheels, and side skirts. With the 370Z, I bought a nice exhaust (first ever), and then some nice wheels to compliment the look. FI is definitely in the plans next year once I get things planned with a shop... money-wise, it's a pinch, but I would like to enjoy the toys while I'm still young.

I have not upgraded clutch nor an oil cooler... I do have a 450whp DD
Evo X is 300lbs heavier btw with 3 diffs to loser your power though. before the Z i had an EVO 8 with FP red turbo putting down 450whp also and I wouldn't go back. I'll never own another 4banger. 3.7L full boost at 3.5k < 2.0 full boost at 5k rpm

No offense, but asking members of a 370Z forum as to what car you think you should go with isn't exactly an impartial way to conduct a consensus. If you were to ask your initial question on either an STi or EVO forum they'd all tell you to go with those cars respectively.
Perhaps you need to be asking around on various forums as well, if you haven't already done so. Just my two cents, don't hate me. |

4wd is nice, 2wd is fun. the both cost a lot don't kid yourself, but the z does look like sex. unbiased though, if you are a one car guy go with the 4 door, if you have questionable roads, or travel north during the winter awd hands down, if you don't really know how to drive that well but still want to go fast the 4wd is MUCH easier to control.

Z owns the X in stock from on any track.. check out C&D lighting lap if you like. If you got 30-40k to burn why not get a used 2000-04 911 turbo

Regarding the 996 turbo, I have actually thought about it a lot. The thing is, it's very hard to buy the old non-variable vane turbos knowing how good the new ones are. That and I want a car a little newer. |
