I think the first thing we need is the VB first, mainly because it makes the clutch plate is broken by a VB can not accommodate the increased capacity. Cause of the symptoms, clutch slip and cause damage. Now my car can only use 1-4 gear.

So why are the twin turbo guys with automatics not having issues when they're making A LOT more torque? I guess it's based on driving habits, but still...

To answer your question. I want to say shumby was one of the first 7AT with FI. Also it is safe to say that he had the most miles on his car. I think it is just a matter of time. Also while shumby was on the rig his wife was driving his car so it never rested.

Only TT guys I know of are either on the 5AT or only had the TT on their 7AT for few miles. plus if you are only doing city driving the top gears do not get hammered. I however to the majority of hiway driving.

Line pressure can be controlled from the ECU to firm up or soften shifts -- that's why it feels softer in D and harder using the paddles.

Shumby could have a point or it could be something else. Outside of the Bangkok TT guy I have heard of no other TT 7AT issues. And the truth is, we cant really tell what he has done. I have about 2000 miles on my tranny AFTER the TT install and push it hard daily and weekly. I have NEVER had any slippage AT ALL. I have the biggest tranny cooler you can get on mine (the Dawg) and hope it helps. I am not a mechanic BUT the SC problems could be tied to where/when the SC delivers its HP and TQ versus where/when the TT does. Just my 2 cents. Blue

Meaning the car should not be driven in D at high speeds? Maybe the tranny will survive if it's driven with M mode due to more line pressure... Maybe that's what the TT 7at guy is doing.

^^^ no need to be scared. just wait for the trans upgrades to come out. keep following me and my progress and when the parts and upgrades come out give me 6 months of driving if it held up until then then there should be no issues. I don't mind being the test pig. It is going to help alot of you out.
