No offense but you've been running a more conservative setup than what GTM specify. So I don't know if the experience with your car to date is an accurate description of what others can expect.

Having said that, I'd be keen to know how it goes once you increase the PSI and have been driving the car for a while.

Good luck with it mate and please keep us posted.

Lol I only plan to keep 8psi as a high setting when I need that extra bit, I think 310 atw is plenty on the roads. I think cars is about balance, not raw power. Come to the cruise next month when we head up black spur, even you have 400kw , a mini cooper can over take. I don't mean you but my English is not gd

Oh btw think there's only a few 7sp had force induction 1sc and 2 tt, think all about 6psi and all stage 1. Can't compare with manual, cause we talk about transmition, I'm pretty sure all the other tt out there have had a clutch upgrade, engine holds up fine but think that's the difference between the auto and manual. And y force induction 7sp are not boosting it so high but only time will tel how much the stock tranny can hold

Would love to come to the cruise but I'm out of town for a while.

BTW, who did your install and are/were you happy with their work?

tao168 08-29-2010 01:30 AM

Lol I told you about million times who done my install hahaha let's just say I'm happy with the results . Let's not get into products and who installed it.

GUTCH 08-29-2010 02:09 AM

Sheesh, sensitive bloke. Ok then.

tao168 08-29-2010 03:11 AM

Lol anyway come to one of our cruises 1day and talk to all the guys there, they are more than happy to help, plus get don't spirited driving on the way hehehe :)

there a lot of 5AT guys boosted. Terry has a GTM Stage 1 in his 5AT G35 sedan with VB upgrade and trans cooler that's been running for over 2 years now? No problems.

tao168 08-29-2010 06:44 AM

Yeah heard it makes a lot of difference to do a vb upgrade for auto trainees but sadly no such upgrade for the 7sp yet

Mr&Mrs 08-29-2010 06:51 AM

I could be wrong but I think this link is a VB upgrade =)

I might get boosted if I find a car checkup place that doesn't mind boosted cars. but that is extremely rare so I am looking around.

We just performed a tranny tune with the new Osiris update and man what a difference! Still some fine tuning needed to make the car shift a bit smoother but WOW.

Q8y_drifter 08-31-2010 02:53 PM

tranny tune? you can access the TCM with Osiris? :/

There are some maps on the engine ECU that talk to the TCM to make sure torque output is what it should be.

Q8y_drifter 08-31-2010 04:40 PM

What exactly are you adjusting here? This is the first time I hear this.

Torque ouput measured in newton meters. This is a new development from Uprev. Another missing map found.
