couldnt you just run a long tube from the filter in the engine down to the turbo? So all the STS turbos have the filter under the car?

I would think that as long as the car is on there will be air in the tubes and a recirculating valve at the turbo will put air in too. But I really dont know.

Yeah, it doesn't really work like that. In layman's terms picture trying to suck out of a straw. The longer it is the harder it is to get air through it. Complicate things even further by adding turns and bends and you'll be choking off the compressor.

just use a good filter box and the filter won't get drenched like an open cone would and put a good sized stainless shield/diffuser under the turbo to keep it from getting wet rain problem solved.

So some pieces came in, but heat exchanger yet maybe wednesday. Here is a few pics, nothing mocked up yet, but soon prolly like next weekend. the seal on the ram for the lift went out, waiting for it to get backed from the hydraulic shop.

for a scavenge pump RB racing makes a great bronze gear pump designed for oil system use. The pumps are so over built you could use them as a seperate supply pump at 3 GPM at 30psi. the also have the supply line restrictors, backflow valves, and hell in line turbo oil filters if you wnat to run those too. remember a ball bearing turbo likes 30psi of oil pressure journal bearings a bit more. Don't skimp on the oiling like sts did or you'll be doing what i am right now, trying to improve it so the seals don't bypass oil at low throttle. Rear mounts are hard on ring seals, if your turbo has carbon seals you won't have as much of a problem.
