It's not compressor surge. I'm going to try a new forged bypass valve out. I ordered it last friday so I hope it comes in this week sometime. To Shumby:

To Shumby: when i was looking into my g37 I looked at the price of replacements for the trannys and when I saw the AT price that is what helped me decided on the manual. I really dont think the upper gears are designed to take the high torque of the s/c. Sure these are in the fxs and all but When you are in 5th gear and hammer the gas it drops you down to 3rd or lower. If you cruise in a high gear and just give it a little more gas, you are giving it more torque without the same amount of throttle. My theory. You will probably want to get a built tranny cryo treat it and all. If my 6mt goes out I am definately going to get built tranny. Also now would be a good time to start calling some junkyards and see if there are any there. Last edited by Fezzik; 11-01-2010 at 02:39 PM. |
