That is scary IMO. I can easily see something coming loose or a hose coupler failing after repeated impacts from pot-holes or bumps taken at speed.

I'm an engineer by day, and I don't care how light-weight something is, it still needs support. The fact of the matter is that that the intake still has weight, and that weight is positioned a few inches from that coupling, which causes a bending moment. I don't see why Stillen wouldn't take the extra effort to ensure it is secure? It just seems lazy to me...

Thanks for answering my question, FSP. The install does look good though.

I'm not sure about you guys but mines came with a plate that prevents the Intake from falling.

Umm...those things are on there tight...they are not going anywhere. I know what you mean LiquidZ, but those coming off is not a realistic concern IMO. I'm sure even if the clamp loosened and came off, you would still need a screw driver to pry the damn thing off the inlet.

Awesome build, hopefully Uprev will figure this one out soon...

Nope. I'm working with a firm dealing primarily with some major construction projects for the local wastewater plants.

I wish, apparently Stillen is not shipping the kit until the tune is worked out. So, now my car is sitting at Failsafe collecting dust.
