Not a 370Z, but a ZR1 with a stock gutted S/C and TT down here in Miami.

I don't pretend to be an expert, but I would think that Turbos develop significantly more heat than SC. The VQ is already a hot-running engine. How much power do you really need? I think something like the Stillen set-up would be plenty, and it appears to be well engineered. Unless, of course, you are going all-out for racing and every hp counts. Good luck. :driving:

Turbo FTW! HAHAHA Seriously they are both good, but there is nothing like the sound of a turbo and the one button press to add more power. Every, and I mean every friend I have that has bought a supercharger for their car; did one of two things or both.

1. Wished they had more power
2. Wished they went turbo instead

This does not include you Dreamer but then again you have only had yours for a few weeks.

Give me six months and we will see how I stand, though I will need to borrow your car for a few days.

Trust me buddy I know where you will stand! And I don't think it will take 6 months

yeah he has the wrong type of supercharger. would have been better off turbo if centrifugal is your only choice. to me a supercharge = 6psi at 2750 if it can't do that go turbo.

get nitrous. less money, easier install, instant power, doesn't have to be run all the time=less wear on engine. you will be owning all the forced induction turbos & S/C guys and laughing all the way to the bank when you whup their a$$es then tell them you have less than $1000 invested in the power mods that just shut down their $7000+ investment! WHUT WHUT?!

My turbos are always there when I need them, and I don't need to worry about filling up the bottle before going out :stirthepot:

:D

jetguy 09-11-2010 01:06 PM

that is the one draw back to nitrous is filling the bottles. some times is hard to find a place to fill them and if they are really filling them all the way! but the 370z is already pretty darn quick. in fact up in the mountains it is defiantly fast enough already. that's why nitrous would be good just for those rare times when you just need just a little bit more! plus twin purge out the fangs is always a crowd pleaser at car shows and meets.

Can't argue with that!

So you're saying Nitrous is for posers, Turbo's are for performers?

Can't but agree lol

It is even funnier when you actually know SuperchargedG and Alberto...

I am personally leaning towards the GTM SC. I just don't want to go down the Alberto Path, I mean his car is sick, but all the pain in between is just not worth it to me...

Fire 09-12-2010 02:44 PM

LOL that vid is F'n funny. Unfortunately I kind of relate to him. Keep up the kewl posts.:inoutroflpuke:
