Anymore info on this? Really more interested in the numbers. Made it sound like there are two seperate intercoolers...

LateralG'z 07-20-2010 07:51 PM

SORRY for the delay guys. SPOCOM kicked my a$$ literally. Its tough to arrange, prepare and basically get 4 cars show ready in one week.

Here's what i got so far from HKS

GT-RS twin ball bearing turbos
Trim is 52-T
A/R is .064
internal wastegates
cast manifold used, same as the VQHR motor form the 07 350z
Twin intercoolers yes JB LOL
R35 INJECTORS
Upgraded oil pan
hks stainless steel oil lines
Tuned with the F-CON PRO
464WHP

Basically, its the same setup kit that they sold for the 07 370z.
IC PIPES, INTAKE and INTERCOOLER was all prototyped in house on the HKS 370Z. They are trying to figure out if they will sell the kit as a SET UP kit or as a complete kit. It will boil down to the pricing. If its too expensive, they won't release it. I will link this thread to the Main R&D guy i know at HKS so if there is enough interest, they will make the full kit

Here's some pictures

/interested :yum: stock exhaust or were they using their own?

LateralG'z 07-21-2010 05:46 AM

Definitely not stock exhaust, to small

LiquidZ 07-21-2010 07:20 AM

Build it! If HKS made an FI kit, I would definitely consider it. I just hope they make a full kit and not the setup.

On a similar note, they should also consider a supercharger kit.

interesting

I am the biggest HKS fan and I am not impressed one bit. I still need more info before I truely mean that but from what I see, I am not impressed:(

Jamaica 07-21-2010 01:21 PM

They had the hi power exhaust. They told me they would make a bigger diameter exhaust for turbo app if they make the kit

Please remember that this is only a prototype version. The pipes are unfinished and they didn't care at how it would look for now because they haven't decided yet to make the complete kit, if they do, i'm sure it would look a lot nicer, better welds, polished pipes.... etc

Hybrid 350GT 07-22-2010 01:28 AM

subscribed for more info down the road.

i had a hks to4z full turbo kit on my supra mkiv and it was a work of art! there turbos r second to none! if this kit comes out it will most likley be the most expensive. those BOV sound and work very well i had 2 eighther side of the intercooler releasing 32 psi they never leak under high boost or at idle compared to the tial. anyways there are a few forced induction offers now for the z but i would go hks for sure!
