So was it just a tune issue or was there another problem?

That's nice to know to be able to maintain stock feel with the power to go when needed. Also, what is it like near 50% throttle and steady through the gears? I'm definitely going to try to push for Spring '11 :D

 with your install!

At 50% the car is already pulling and you just see that tach and your MPH climbing nicely. Going through the gears is not a issue at all while on it. Honestly I think they are going in easier then what they did before i did the kit. Also looking at my boost controller that I have set to 7.6 psi, the boost comes fast, it is like I am instantantly there and it holds. I have had no over boost warning or any issues of that sort. I also do not hear the waste gates chattering or anything. The BOV while driving the car normally are very quit but when you romp on it and let go they make a very nice sound and it is pretty loud. I hope this answered your question if not let me know

The tune is good. other then the shop said it was a little conservative and that it wasn't pulling timing as much as it could. I talked to SAM about this and were going to wait and see what it does with the boost controller. I know he said he was going to work on the new tune for me but I am in no rush for it. The car is running great and the power feels awsome. So what leaves to the issue was me. I had a exhaust leak at the header and that was causing issues.

Thanks for all your intrest everyone if you have any more questions, keep them coming I would be glade to answer everyones and to help put peoples mind at ease if they want to get one but are a little scared since are cars are new.

toner123 08-31-2010 02:51 PM

alright just got back from dynoing the car so I will list the results for now till i can upload the graph since my scanner decided to stop working lol

max power i got was 446
max torque was 399.6
PSI was 10
AFR was 12.0

outside air temp was 98 deg with 15% humidity

I spoke to sam and he is going to add a more aggressive tune to my rom since this one is good but is conservitive with pulling timing, were going to designate this as my daily driver map.
You got to love GTM and there awsome customer service=)
After I get the other tune file I will go back to the dyno to get new numbers and keep you all posted.

Not trying to keep my thread on the top just want to give the best review I can for everyone that way they know what to expect and to make sure everyone knows what there getting with there hard earned money, but I must say GTM and the GTM kit is living well up to my expectations.

Thank you. Yea I can't wait for the aggressive tune to see what it will put down on the dyno now that i seen these numbers lol. I think that is pretty cool sam is going to give me the best of both worlds. A conservative tune that is putting out good power, and then with a flick of a switch a more aggressive tune to get down deep and dirty. Things like this is why I am glade I chose to purchase from GTM. I can't say enough about SAM he posses all the traits that lead to great customer service.

If anyone has any other questions or concerns please let me know.

What did everything cost you anyways? The kit + tuning + inspection + misc. instillation.

Nitex 08-31-2010 06:28 PM

^^ per GTM's website its just shy of 11k for the first 500hp power package. And 15k for the next level that comes with exhaust test pipes and some other goodies.

BeachZTT 08-31-2010 08:30 PM

Frank, that is awesome! Those are the numbers I was expecting from your session today. Just wait until you wake up on a 50 degree morning and the tires roll over in second just because the boost comes up. :happydance:
