Thanks Jeff, I never said July as a finished date cause GTM got it in may thats just insane... On another note. The car has been put together for over a month now... GTM has been working on developing products because I asked them to add those products to the build... we would of been done and I would of had the car back months ago if it wasnt for me adding parts and having the car go from one shop to the next... GTM has done everything they said they would... I wish people would stop talking out of their butt about things they know nothing about... Honestly, they should talk to one party or the other to get the behind the scenes details before they run their mouth about a shop or build...

longevity of the motor? meh, 1000whp engines aren't supposed to last, thats why the Veyron costs a million dollars.
That's kinda interesting. More interesting are questions like: What driveshaft will handle the power? What axles? Hows he gonna keep the engine cool? What transmission will he use to handle 1000hp? What differential? Compression? Meth? What tires? What's he going to do about the aero profile to go the speeds he wants to? How engine mounts are gonna hold up, tranny mounts? diff mounts? Melting everything around the turbos? All has to be welded. Full rollcage. Forget the A/C. Those are the parts I find interesting. Lots of engineering goes into a build like this. That's were the true risk of this build is, if all it took was a 1000hp engine then it would be just a matter of building the engine and pumping a lot of boost into it. If only it were that easy haha... |

well i don't think they'll be cranking the AC when they try to push past 1000hp on the dyno. If i recall, the car isn't going to be tuned to 1000hp all the time, so AC, and longevity issues of running a car with 1000hp and 4 tons () of boost shouldn't really be issues unless bullits gonna be using the car as a DD, every day driving at WOT with the most aggressive tuning setup on the car.

Jayfightmoves needed a 12 quart NASCAR cooling system to keep his 520whp (mustang dyno) TT engine running cool. In order to run kit like that you need the room.
You either got super creative or you don't have enough cooling to support a 1000hp car for more than a few minutes of hard driving. Looking forward to seeing what you guys did Got any reasonable ETA ? |
