So if you guys see the Z up for sale you will know why. The car will be driven a few times a week or whenever my gf wants to drive my Sti lol
So I dont really get this....why would you sink all this $$$ into a car just to sell it. I mean you are going to lose a ton in resale. Is it just to get your shop name out there?? I love the build and am planning something similar but I plan on keeping mine for sometime.

What would happen if you sprayed this engine??? With the upgraded internals could the engine handle it or would it go nuclear???

Sell the white dragon? I personally couldn't do it. I also think that I'd drive it as much as I could, even if I had to dial down the power. Think about it, you buy a car you spend a long time building it, which I understand since it has been so beneficial to the greater Z community and thank you for that, and then you want to sell it. Where in that series of events do you get to enjoy the pleasure and sheer lunacy of your hard work?

I wouldn't be able to sell it if it was me, unless there was some kind of emergency situation which required me to do so.

Trust me there will be plenty of time for me to enjoy the Z. Plus I will be buying another Z. One with all UAM parts on it and Forced induction. I don't expect my car to sell quickly not for the price tag I will be putting on it. Plus it will be at several shows including Sema!

I can understand building a car for the sake of creating something. Seeing it come to life and working on it is better than actually driving a car sometimes. Essentially taking something you love and turning it into reality. I feel ya and I think 90% of the folks in here do so as well so good luck with it.

Thanks for the support guys! I really appreciate it. RCZ hit it on the head! This was more of can it be done as well as getting the name out and building a dream car. I will have to say when the car is completely finished there will be around $200k+ put into this project...

So around what price range will you be selling it for?

probably the $120-$140k range... whoever buys it will be getting a deal. Sam has said he wont touch another build like this for anything less than $100k (and thats just the power adding aspect of the build)

Damn that's some craziness. Good luck with the eventual sale!

Be sure to set the 1/4 mile record for the 370Z first

FWIW, this is the second $100k+ 370Z that has gone through the boards and last I heard that one was struggling to sell for 50k. Granted its a race car, but there's a very small market for cars like these. I think the best thing to do is try and get money back through product promotions, shows and other stuff.

oh. but that one was like...out and out track.

this one is...uhm...out...

er...

like RCZ said - going to be a VERY tough market at that price. doesn't matter how many times you chant 'someone is getting a good deal', nobody will buy a car for 120k+ unless it was a supercar, much less a nissan.

still - good luck? it will be nice to see the completed build soon.
