with as much torque we will be putting down it should be doable... We should be able to do it if a box GTI can make 205mph and a GTR 220mph I think the Z can match the GTR and probably best it.

What is the Z drag 220 is not that easy. Should be doable but you have do more help manage the air better especially through the hood.

bullitt5897 06-22-2010 12:56 PM

the 370Z drag coefficient is .29

bullitt5897 06-22-2010 12:57 PM

the GTR's is .27

That's without the Zele Kit :stirthepot:

bullitt5897 06-22-2010 01:16 PM

I highly doubt the Zele kit will make the coefficient worse. In all actuality I think it may improve the actual coefficient. lol

What kind of red line are you guys aim for? Are you guys staying stock or bumping it up a bit?

impressive, subscribed.

I am interested in how GTM will manage the change between injectors and not cause a lean spot.. I know making that transition can be very difficult.

LateralG'z 06-22-2010 01:45 PM

It should definitely be doable with drag coeff.l

bullitt5897 06-22-2010 01:57 PM

yeah figuring its better than the Veyron by .01 hehehe

And if even a 'Cuda can hit 208, you shouldn't be too far of...

Back in the days, tuning an RX8 1.3 L RENESIS via the FCON VPRO made a man out of me, the RX8 engine had 6 injectors grouped in pairs that were coming on in three different stages in three different individual fuel maps, now that was challenging.

This set up is not as difficult but we do have to deal with the engine's dynamic valve timing which makes the process very time consuming and not so easy .

^Yeah, that sounds like hell. I'm sure you will be able to handle this motor and its VVEL system just fine. I would like to know if you do experience a lean spot when you do have injector switch tho.

Wonder how many hours of tuning before the final tune is approved. 1000hp sure is going to put some wear and tear on your dyno!:driving:

I hope for many sakes you get alot of extra insurance policy added. Pretty sure you know that though. Congrats on the start of your build.
