It has yet to be implemented and a full on switch to motec has it's challenges, but it is a sound method. not to mention that a motec setup installed and tuned can cost around 10,000, and the new sensors, and servo drives would cost a few hundred more, but you would never have to worry about any mods that you couldn't tune for, you'd be the first to have tuneable vvel and launch control, and a motec can do anything and never fails.

@ Slow: Sam and I had this conversation of whether to run a motec or not and after our discussions Sam convinced me that he had a better method than the Motec system. Since we are running the HKS F-con Vpro full standalone unit along with Race Logic Traction control system and a few other pieces to bring this system whole.
I am also an Aim Sports dealer and will most likely be installing a AIM Data Acquisition system in the car with possibly a Digital dash in my headliner. that way I can monitor everything from the motor to the suspension and be able to overlay it on to a 3d mapping/google earth overlay of the race tracks that I go to.

yeah The only thing I'd say on the motec over what you have is the servo output for the vvel otherwise the fcon and the supporting boxes you have can do the rest of it. I was just mulling it over at 4a.m. running through the motec options and when i found the servo control it hit me. There is a way to tune VVEL right now, more accurately there has been ever since the car cam out. Can the FconV be hooked up to control the throttlebodies? If so i think i could still figure out a way to get you vvel lift control ability, it would just require a separate programmable micro controller box. If the FconV can handle the electronic throttlebodies or even a cable swap, this would be great as the price of an FconV would be much more affordable. I'm going to do some research and pile together a list of components.
Edit: as I am going to need to do this for personal reasons to get my twin screw to work anyway. Right now i kind of want to be able to just throw the damn stock ecu right the hell out of my car as there is going to be little to no support for it.

Slow you might want to give Sam a call and discuss with him the options and maybe throw some ideas around. *hint hint* Sam knows wayyyy more than anyone else in the aftermarket about the VVEL system and may be able to shed some light on how he can tune the system... I cannot say for sure if he has cracked the system or not but from all the evidence that I have seen and heard I would put money on Sam knowing how to tune VVEL

OMG!!!
I'm going to sleep a bit easier tonight knowing that you guys are successful getting this thing to fit with the cover. How about the strut bar? If the stock one doesn't fit, have you considered some sort of work around or GTM strut bar upgrade? Oh yea, so how does one change oil with this manifold on?
