Well I would be waiting for Bullit to answer since he has his car there having the work done.
Since post 1 was on 6/19/2010 and we are at 9/2/2010 and the car is getting body work done I would say it will take much less than 20 months as you previous posted.

do you honestly think this project can be used as a guide for a realistic timeline? Look over on my350z at his thread and look at some of the irritated customers who have been waiting for over a year posting their frustrations with this car being fast tracked.

all over the place.. I'm pretty sure there were some people in this guy's thread on this car complaining. My point is, this timeline is no where close to accurate for a typical build of this magnitude. You usually see these dragging out for well over a year.

I have, no one seems irritated, they were all just a bit skeptic of them being able to build it quickly with how extreme of a build it was being. I know bullitt was shooting for only a few months, but they seem to be only a bit behind overall

again, I'm not talking about this build. It obviously is high priority. I think some of the post may have been moved or deleted. There are people who have cars that have just been sitting for months on end. And its not just GTM. I have no problem with them. I just think people get unreallistic expectations of how long big builds will take. Most reputable shops have HUGE backlogs of work and when you talk about a built, stroked, twin turbo setup you're going to be looking at a year of downtime IMO.
Look at this build XKR Super G... Going for Mach 1 - MY350Z.COM Forums Very similar to the one here. It was a high priority publicized build for another top notch shop and if I'm not mistaken the traction control still isn't done. These things take time. Ask some people who have done big builds at different shops (SP, Intense, Forged, GTM) |

I saw what he was saying in the FI 50 thread. We dont even know what his car is going to make and he is talking about dethroning the "top whp" Z. Kinda presumptuous if you ask me.
Builds like this take time. I hope the rush is worth it. Only time will tell. |

I agree, many things have been pushed, but I think if someone is honestly wanting to do this after bullitt is done it will help reduce the timeline a good bit.
The other thing is also how much prep is done before the car is not used. Some start ordering parts and working right away, while others stock pile parts until everything can be built at once.

I am not being presumptuous as we have all the components to blow past the top Z's... Our 1 bar spring pressure will easily make 600+ rwhp noooo problem.

This is a forum where people can voice their opinions. Again, I see you attacking people who are giving their opinions on your build. They are being civil . Telling people to "shut the **** up" is real professional man. Cut the act. Man up, take people's opinion as what it is...their opinion. |

Back to your car...Are you pulling your fenders? Looks like your going to rub if you lower her. Are you going with an upper rear spoiler? The lower width of the car needs some offset in the rear up top. I'm sure you've figured all this out already, just curious!

You should intall one of those systems where you can adjust the front end height by up to 2 inches in order for you to clear speed bumps and steep driveways. I saw this option on a Bragus SLS AMG and it sounds awesome for people with aggressive body kits and hella flush rides.
