I'm sure a ZR1 would do just fine on a track whether during a track day or competing. Don't get me wrong I like roots (in particular) twin screws, it's just my opinion that for MY Z I would rather have the centrifugal for the street. I'm not a racer and never will be. I like my cars to perform on the street. And once again not that a roots would no peforma well on the street it's just that I prefer the centrifagul's characteristics over the roots for street application. guys lets clear this up a bit they are called positive displacement superchargers. there are roots, twinscrew, and G-rotor or scroll types. centrifugals are all variable displacement. in know roots is easier to say but you confuse the newbs and are hard to understand when you mix them up. on that note positive displacement superchargers disagree with the vvel and open throttlebodies and it currently* cannot be done on our cars. variable superchargers only work because of their sh*ty performance characteristics at low rpms.
