Still have yet to take delivery of the car. Sam still has a couple of tuning tweaks to make and I have added a bit of other parts to the build list at the last moment. Nothing motor/powertrain wise...just some sway bars and other incidentals.

The GT-R was a great car, but I quickly tired of the disconnect caused by the paddle shifters. Remember, I drive solely on the street and the GT-R leaves a bit to be desired there. The 370Z Nismo was more of an afterthought when I began to entertain other avenues. I came from a fully built 350Z TT and wanted something similar, but with less cost and greater reliability.

I can't compare the GT-R to the 370Z TT'ed as I have not yet gotten the car back from Sam...but, I can say that even N/A, the 370Z has more of a "sports car" feel and I have more of a connection with the car. I am anxious to see what the TT version of the 370Z feels like.

As far as rides go, they are free!

Did they go with Uprev or Cobb for the tuning? I'm planning on tuning my Nismo also but I don't know if anyones successfully tuned the Nismo ECU yet. Yours could be the first.

Thanks, man. I did think about using matte black vinyl under the rear apron to cover just above the exhaust. Do you think that would look better? Worse?

Sam is using the Uprev software. This will be the first Nismo ECU tuned that I am aware of. There is a definite difference in the Nismo ECU and the standard 370 ECU. I will let Sam give up all of those details when he is ready.

Awesome congratulations! Quick question though, if you don't plan on going more than 475-500whp then why spend the extra money on the TT and not go SC?

I believe he said that he doesnt like the linnear power of the supercharger and prefers the rush of power that turbo's deliver.

Wow I did not know that. I knew the software had to be a little diff to accommodate the diff physical components. But is the actual hardware of the ecu on the nismo diff?

Wow... Nice build and great car man! Hmmmm I'll be going right by Alpharetta this summer sometime... I'm very, very tempted to throw down that $18 for a ride.

The Nismo ECU is just a reflashed ECU. Timing fuel and VVT are a little different from stock, but people are encountering issues (specifically with Cobb ap). Different ECUs sometimes don't take the same cracks. Like some ECUsarent compatible while some are. The Nismo ECU I don't think has been cracked by any other tuner, which is why I am interested. SAM, if you could shed some light on this I am interested in your findings.

I had a NISMO rom (it was re tagged to correct format) to load on my AP ready 370z sport, it made no difference to butt dyno, also no difference on the same dyno pulls in comparo from what I heard.
The rom i.d. is different so you cannot flash a non NISMO with a NISMO etc but physically the tables are the same. Not sure if the ECU changes are just Nissan hype. I got my information and rom from the horses mouth so to speak.
SAM I to would be interested to see how you and the UPREV software interprits this, I can only speak for my own experiences with AP.
