Wow I did not know that. I knew the software had to be a little diff to accommodate the diff physical components. But is the actual hardware of the ecu on the nismo diff?

There is no physical difference, just a difference in programming.

Wow... Nice build and great car man! Hmmmm I'll be going right by Alpharetta this summer sometime... I'm very, very tempted to throw down that $18 for a ride.

Rides are free! :)

Thanks, man. You are certainly more than welcome to check it out. As soon as it's back from SoCal, we can meet up. It would be nice to get some of the Z34 guys together around here!

The rom i.d. is different so you cannot flash a non NISMO with a NISMO etc but physically the tables are the same. Not sure if the ECU changes are just Nissan hype. I got my information and rom from the horses mouth so to speak.
SAM I to would be interested to see how you and the UPREV software interprits this, I can only speak for my own experiences with AP.

Actually, there are differences in the tables. Maybe I am getting ahead of Sam here by saying that, so I will let Sam clarify. But, there are distinguishable differences.

Funny that you mention it...Sam is out punishing my car right now! :icon17: He just called asking "How hard can I drive your car?" I told him do what it takes to make a good vid.

The wheels are painted Nissan color code K11. It's nearly identical to the '09 GT-R wheel color. The inside of the headlights, door handles and emblems are painted this color, as well.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

^Most definitely.

de_dust 05-02-2010 10:15 PM

how does it feel getting compliments over comments bashing? great job, the results speaks volumes about the effort you put in figuring what you wanted/need...

FuszNissan 05-02-2010 10:21 PM

Any tranny upgrades?

I don't know if I like it! Even RCZ put forth a compliment! Next thing you know, 370ZSteve will say something nice...kinda creepy! *haha* I kid, I kid. I hope others can learn a bit from my pioneering with the Nismo.

None...yet. I plan on smoking the OEM clutch before replacement. It is sort of a test to see what OEM parts will hold up and for how long. I see an LSD and possibly upgraded axels in the future...as well as a clutch.

Kastley85891 05-02-2010 10:38 PM

STORMCROW - maybe in UPREV it shows table differences, I just opened up both roms in acccesstuner race and they are identical in table format.
Would like to get Sams input on the UPREV user end experience as all informative going forward.

I am not dissing your comment, I do not have a NISMO rom (in UR Format) to openly compare my self with the UPREV tuning suite (only ptm's) so cannot comment on there layout ;-)

I digress though, your ride is awesome, I am sick with envy

370Z JT 05-02-2010 11:00 PM

very nice! thanks for sharing!

Wow.....sick build!! I agree with DannyGT, I won't touch another thing on it, as far as exterior looks and power.

I disagree with you a lot and that's part of life, but at the same time I do appreciate that you have done an awesome job with the car and there's no good reason why I shouldn't compliment you on that...
