I will soon have this kit installed. Got this from Sam and thought the rest of you might want something to watch since the Forced Induction thread has been dead lately. Not sure the whp on this Z but Sam said he was pushing 9psi in the vid. This is a good example of GTM's new data log system they bought. From what I understand it communicates with a satillite for some of the data. Sam says he will be doing tons of testing on all of his current kits. More coming soon.:driving:

I will be doing this GTM 500 kit but with the following changes.

-HKS blow off valves (Custom polished to match pipeing)
-Custom intercooler pipeing with blow off valves under the hood
-Down pipes (external waste gates+open dumps)
-Possibly HKS waste gates
-HKS EVC Boost controller
-HKS Camp 2 sensors for (oil pressure, EGT, Boost)
-GTM Custom 3" exhaust with burnt ti tips; Found on this page: GTM Motorsports*::*EXHAUST*::*GTM G37 COUPE 2.5" CAT-BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM

Very nice.

Sam - I notice the air temp and oil temp are registering zero. Any way to get this measured, as well, using this system?

Awesome. Thanks for sharing. Let the penny saving begin..

Looks slow JB. :p

If this is the GTM kit, Let us know if you notice any level drop in your coolant reservoir, air temps and what the boots are rated for as in PSI and if the IC pipe hot side is bead welded w/ spring tension clamps Also little tip if this is your first install get some black silicone compound it works wonders w/ the gasket on the turbo drain flange :) heat wrap the down pipes and hot side of the turbo to control hot air.

Cold air=more air.

Absolutely, the set up is the state for art for longing and analyzing anything on the car, the engine, the blower and even the suspension. it even has a GPS built in sensor, the video recording is just for fun. Great tool

Here is quick 0-60 graph i did yesterday.

Ghost Edit.

cjof2003 05-16-2010 12:49 PM

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I see about 5.5s to 60mph

red = mph (left scale)
blue = rpm (right scale, not far right though)
green = boost pressure (psi) (far right scale)

scales are color coded to lines, i know its hard to see on that pic though

bullitt5897 05-16-2010 03:02 PM

I believe that is a sample scale and not the actual performanceto represent that of the actual kit.

Hey JB and/Or stormcrow-
Can you go thru your thought process on why you picked out what you did for each of your builds? If it requires a pm or a separate thread, let me know... but Im considering doing this and it is a step up for me from supercharging which seemed simpler but also not able to make as much power.

TIA

Ben

Ben what are your goals? If we know this we can better help you ;) for example my car is at GTM getting the full treatment and should be a world record holder for the 370z! I am going all out! What ate your wants and desires? Maybe you should give Sam a call at GTM he can help you out greatly! He helped me out a LOT!

BennytheBlade 05-16-2010 11:09 PM
