Forged Peformance doesn't have a track 370Z. That car belongs to a client of FP. And it's not going with the GReddy kit. It's staying N/A for the time being.

Will the 20G give me a lot of turbo lag or is it more low end turbo?
Stillen doesn't make a TT kit. SC only. 500whp will probably be a bit much for the stock AT, so you might want to dial it down to the 450whp range. But, even then, it's uncharted territory and you may be buying a new trans or being one of the first to R&D some upgraded parts. One thing I have learned in this F/I world...don't play unless you can pay.

Eloquently put. *lol* Truly, on a car that has oil cooling issues, WHY would you utilize turbos that absolutely depend on oil temperatures to keep them cool and lubricated? Water cooled BB turbos are the only way to go on this car, imho...even with an oil cooler.

Ok, I think you all are failing to see the point of this thread. There is a shop, here locally in El Paso, that has received a TT kit from Greddy themselves for the purpose of advertisement, Greddy wants to get the word out. The shop is going to perform the install, parts included, for 5 grand. As I've stated before, I dont care what TT kit you buy, turbo size/efficiency, whatever, 5 grand for a turn key TT kit installed is a gawddamn steal, i dont care who you are. So, lets all be positive here and nudge Steve along to get this done instead of trying to sway his hand in the direction of another TT kit k?

Actually, it seems you are the one missing the point of this thread. Steve asked out opinions and thoughts on the GReddy kit, which is exactly what it seems everyone is giving. A lot of us 'in the know' realize that this isn't the best kit to go with due to some technical and mechanical limitations of both the kit and the 370Z. Why should we "nudge" someone into doing something based on price when it might not be the best thing for them?

If a fellow enthusiast is here trying to figure a way to do F/I on a budget, then we certainly shouldn't be nudging them towards anything...whether or not it seems a "steal" to you.

Im not sure of the exact price yet, I have to call the owner today, but it will be no more than 5K and Im hoping a good bit under. The kit does comes with a larger oil pan and I would do an oil cooler too. Aside from that if I only run 6.5 psi for 450HP are there still issues to be had that other kits wouldnt have? Now would htere be a difference for install from a 6 speed to the 7AT? Cuz I think he really wants a 6 speed but he has no takers yet.

Would I need an trans cooler too?

To answer your questions, I think we need a bit more information how you plan on driving this car. DD? Track? Weekend warrior?

Just as a DD with a 1 or 2 trip a year to the 1/4 mile track.

You responded very well to this thread. I think all 370Z owners should feel this way.

John, do you have any comments about the quality of the GTM kit? How was the fit and finish?

With a daily driver I am going to wager that you are looking for reliability. 450whp is about what I would look at doing, especially on the AT. I don't think you would need a trans cooler. I wouldn't think you would need an LSD, either. I would say, that no matter what, you are probably going to have issue with the oil temps and this is going to shorten the life of the turbos. That is one thing that concerned me enough to pass on the GReddy kit this time. Trust me, I absolutely love GReddy. Had a 600whp 350Z with GReddy 18g twins. LOVED it. But, not for the 370Z.

I have 472RWHP and I haven't been over 210F. Oil temps are not an issue with a Oil Cooler and an Oil Pan spacer.

I say no, Steve. But that's just because I'm a sissy and don't like risks.
