And this is SAE. I'll see if I can get the numbers for STD...

EDIT: Just called the shop again, made 445/335 STD Made more power than advertised by Stillen w/ 35F hotter air temps.
Very impressive dynojet numbers!

Where did you do the dyno at? I live in Miami and i'm currently waiting on the GTM S/C kit I ordered for my 08 Infiniti G35S 5AT, also looking for a good Uprev tuner for the dyno tuning.

I want to see these numbers laid against the GTM turbo kit with similiar power set-up too see where power differences would be on the RPM bands

Cartek, dont tune it there. The only person I trust to tune my car is Jack from HPL.

Thanks, horse power logic was who I was going to contact for tuning and it's definitely reassuring to have someone recommend them.

What were your final numbers? I have the 5AT on my 08 G35S and I'm curious how much power dropoff there is between the automatic and
the manual.

A few thoughts on power delivery with the S/C:

The stock vq37 starts coming in to it's power band between 2,500 and 3,000 rpm, Then holds a flat torque curve from 3,000-6,000 rpm before it starts falling off.

The VQ37 with the Stillen S/C acts like stock from 2,500-3,000, where the torque is rapidly increasing, but then continues that linear increase in torque all the way to 4,000 rpm before then engine is fully "on". Then the torque curve is flat from 4,000-7,000 rpm before it starts to fall off.

Overall, it's a very useable power band, being near peak torque for a 3,000 rpm range. The fat part is now a thousand rpm higher than N/A, but it's still making more power than the N/A engine everyhwere in the rev range.

Compared to a larger displacement N/A engine, the downside is lower torque from 3-4k rpm, but that's only if the N/A engine has variable valve timing. Otherwise, the larger N/A engine will suffer the same problem. Compared to a turbo engine, the downside is lower torque until the turbo spools up, which would occur, when... 500-700 rpm earlier than the supercharger?

So the automatic loses 30 to 40 WHP, that's not bad. 400WHP daily driver kicks ***, that torque level should be easier on the auto trans. 2009 infiniti Q56 5AT is rated at 395 ft/lbs torque at the crank, I know the transmissions are not identical but they are both RE5R05A. I hope my trans will hold up well, I think the shift kit will help alot.

Just an FYI.. Over the past month we have shipped out many superchargers and have received great feedback from our customers on everything from the kit itself, the ease of installation, the quality of the components and the driving experience. However, we have also found there are variations in boost with some cars experiencing pressures higher than we are comfortable with.

As the reliability and longevity of our customers’ vehicles are our utmost concern, we are contacting all those that have been shipped the supercharger kit. These variances could be caused by differences in exhaust components, climate, elevation, etc. and we want to ensure their setup is within the proper boost levels.

If any STILLEN Supercharger customers haven't gotten their communication, please contact us at 866-250-5542 or feel free to send me a PM.
