This reminded me of Ricky Bobby..."With all due respect, you're an idiot!" LMAO!!! Best part of that movie!

We have installed hundreds of clutches and flywheels over the years and we've seen some cars that don't experience any rattle while others that do rattle. We have used multiple flywheels and clutch combinations and the results are always the same...different. Basically there is no rhyme or reason. Some cars do it, some cars don't. It is something that we warn all of our customer's about.

We are running the OS Giken triple plate on the shop car. After raising the idle to 1k rpm (via Osiris), there is zero chatter.

are there any problems with SRM after clutch/flywheel ugprade?

Also, lightening the OEM dual mass flywheel (as someone mentioned earlier in this thread) is out of the question. Confirmed with 2 shops that these flywheels are not safe to lighten due to their design so it an aftermarket single mass FW or nothing.

SRM works perfect, but there is chatter. It doesn't bother me but yes there is chatter. Even in idle.

I wondered it has been suggested anyways.

I have only heard mine chatter twice, so I say we amend that to there may be chatter somewhere between never and all the time.

Nat all cars will react the same. I have driven GTR's with a lot of chatter and I have driven some that I can barely tell. My Z had no chatter fir the first 1000 miles on the new clutch and fly wheel and now it has a slight chatter in numeral. The chatter does go away once you get above 2K. How long have you had your clutch/flywheel upgrade?

I have a Stillen lightweight flywheel installed.
Sometimes it rattles when idle but once I tuned the car and set idle RPM to 1,000rev those noises stopped.

Flywheel is great for easy downshifts.
