might need a valve body up grade and a tranny cooler. but you should wait to hear what SAM has to say. Myself I am going to get an oil and tranny cooler. plus the valve body upgrade. might not be needed but nice to have. really depends on what you are planing to do with the car.

I'm really confused at how an oil cooler setup is supposed to hook up with the filter relocation of this kit. Anyone have any ideas?

Holy crap Sam! $5k!!!!!!!

Like someone else said, GTM hit it out of the park on this one!

You just swayed me and will most certainly be earning my FI dollars! I have several questions as well...

1) Does the $5k intro price apply to all trims or is that just Stage 1?

2) Price for GTM inhouse install?

3) Why 2 intake filters when the SC only has one inlet?

4) Same questions as others regarding oil filter location/clearance?

5) An oil cooler is a must, where would one fit into this setup?

5. Oil cooler will go behind the intercooler. Apparently there is tons of room still behind there. Or you can custom bracket it off the left side I suppose.

3. No because that comes in to play after the supercharger just before the intake manifold. Makes no sense to meter the air before the supercharger compresses it and before it goes through the intercooler.


5. If you look at the install photos the black oil color is off to the drivers side of the car.

Are you sure that's not just a relocated power steering cooler? That's aweful small if its an engine oil cooler.

your right I just looked at the pictures and there are no oil lines connected to it. but it looks to be power steering lines. My bad!

I assumed that black cooler was the "supercharger cooler" listed in parts lineup? With that being said, I thought the Rotrex was a self contained unit with no need for external oil cooling?

It is still a self contained (internally lubricated) supercharger. Due to the nature of its operation, the traction fluid picks up a lot of heat due to friction forces. The oil cooler is standard on any Rotrex kit to keep the lubricant's temperatures in check.

Don't worry, it is still an internally lubricated kit. No oil pan tapping needed.

Yeah that makes sense...so its a rotrex oil cooler basically

Still curious why the need for dual intake tube...
