Let me know what they say, I'm not that far north of them. ;)

I need a good installer in Texas as I may get the GTM kit after I come back from NTC and will have a little extra duckies.

Is Houston close enough for you?

FYI - the new and improved pipe has arrived. I will continue installation this week/weekend. One thing to note off the bat is how much material was actually removed. The pipe is much thinner on the inside as far as the eye can see and its incredibly smooth on the inside.

I'll post up a quick vid later on today

So is this new pipe part of the kit now? And what was wrong with the original pipe?

Not sure he meant it in the way your taking it but none-the-less, I will answer that question...

There is no difference in pipe design. It was just, for lack of better terms, port and polished...They are applying that process to all the current pipes. I'm sure all new ones from here on out will already be casted properly.

A bit long ways, but would hate to see you go to a closer shop and run into problems.
For where you are I would suggest trailer it to the shop then when complete pick it up and drive home. Trailer fee would probably be around what it would cost to drive it out and such.

TX is so freakin big, I might just take it to GTM, I think they are only a couple more hrs than Houston.

Actually, it's only about a 20 mile difference. I have driven both. I would take it to GTM. :tiphat:

yea thats prolly what I will do after Xmas. GTM are you having a Hpoliday sales on the kits and install?

GUTCH 11-01-2010 12:43 PM

I figured I'd post this here as opposed to the "reviewed" thread where Shumby mentioned his tranny issue.

So what does that mean for the rest of us who have or want the automatic. Does GTM have a fix for this, or are they working on one?
