I think the oil lines are for the oil filter relocation kit... The PS lines are for the PS cooler ... And I believe the Rotrex is in fact an enclosed system.... as pictured it has its own formulated oil used only in the SC.... I doubt it would be added to your engines oil

I know for a fact from my experience with a rotrex sc set up on my 2002 m3 that the 81 trim is good for 500whp. I am really interested to see what the 91 trim can do !! I would think the 91 trim can make way more than the stock motor can handle.
The rotrex unit is self oiling and has a resivoir that you keep leveled off like power steering fluid and has it's own oil cooler ! Nice job GTM !!! I'm excited about this ! |

on a side note...its nice to see the main components of the S/C nice and low to the ground...much better for center of gravity. The last place you want more weight is up high in the front of this already nose heavy car. Curious to hear Sam report the total weight of the kit as well.

You guys dont need to worry about what will happen with a oil cooler sandwich plate!!
You dont need one!! You would simply plumb a front mounted oil cooler inline into either one of the 2 large lines going to the oil filter relocation. So, just remove one of those 2 lines, and send it to a cooler, and the cooler output back where the line originally went. so once again, no need for a sandwich! |

if you want a thermostat... then add a thermostat! no problem guys.
Remote Oil Thermostat - -10AN Mocal Remote Oil Thermostat im sure GTM will put together an oil cooler kit to go along with this SC kit anyway... but you can see here thats its just a matter of 2 hoses, a cooler, and that thermostat if you want one.

Great job GTM great price!! I'm really interested in this kit, I'd like to see some more testing as too how it stacks up as a daily driver kit. I have a lot of the same concerns as others, but mainly drivability, over-heating issues, and reliability. Also, what's your estimate on the time frame for Carb approval?
