Sam I am coming to see you soon. June first cannot come soon enough.

So who is first to have this system insalled ??

CGMobile370Z 05-15-2010 10:06 AM

Sam, I live in Miami and it is not unusual for us to have some areas accumulate up to 8 inches of water in a day from tropical rain storms. Is there anyway to raise the air intakes up higher in the void behind the bumper? The upper one may be fine my concern is the lower one, we get tropical down pours at the drop of a hat and I would hate to ingest a bunch of water

if the top one is fine, then the bottom one won't be a problem. Assuming you run into a situation where you absolutely have to drive through standing water (this has far more things to consider than just your air intake, but i won't get into that here) unless you submerge both filters 100% you won't suck in enough water to hydro lock an engine. Just like if you capped off one filter the engine wouldn't die, it would just breath through the other filter.

Razing the intake wont be possible but you could run only one filter (the upper one ) If you think you are going to find you self in such extreme conditions.

Sam

This question may have already been answered, but do the tubes that go to throttle body pass in the same place as the S. gen 3 ? Just wondering if I could make use of the holes in the support core that's there already for the intake. As I'm really looking at the GTM stage 2 S.C. Kit, and thinking i maybe able to use the current holes... Sorry if this was already asked and or answered. Thanks again for all your time.

This is obviously the best supercharger kit for the 370z and G37

Sam >>> would you pony up the shop supercharged Z for a comparo like this??

Start telling your favorite magazine you want to see it, maybe they will arrange it. I'm sure both companies would be more willing if they were getting free press to thier direct market out of it.

Technically the first Z is the GTM shop car...and mine is the first G37.

shumby 05-22-2010 09:47 AM

Sam, I plan on installing an oil cooler during the S/C kit install. Will the GTM oil cooler kit work with the oil filter relocation kit? If not do you have any suggestions on how to go about installing an oil cooler inconjunction with the oil filter relocation kit, I want to have a thermostat in the system?
