I think Stillen does have an engine warranty on their base kit just as long as nothing is altered from their original design / tuning.

Listing all the oem manufactures that used water to air setup is great but how about some real info about the stillen set up like radiator, size, location, capacity of the system, how about some pics of all that. Why is it left out .Notice how much info we have shared so far. I mean they are about to send their kits out next week and they have not showed a single pic of their system yet , i wonder why ???

I choose air to air any day over liquid to air, it is simple effective, reliable and proven unless we were designing a root style supercharger kit ;).

Id like to see some data comparing A-A W-A cooling, but that is for a different thread I guess.
If people are really comcerned they can always stick a decent meth kit in there to really ensure an efficiant charge temp.

A SC / TT set up will rock regardless, Id love to have one and will take what ever cooler comes.. ;-)

Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember seeing that stillen offered a 3 year warranty if anything went wrong with the sc or engine.

I don't think they just give you a 3 year warranty on their system. They have arranged a contract/deal with an outside company to offer a warranty on their system is my understanding.

There is always a warranty on the supercharger through the manufacturer though that would be "included" with the kit...that's no different then GTM's supercharger though.

I think you might want to find an actual statement from Stillen (i.e. Josh or Kyle) before you go believing you will get a 3 year warranty included on the system as a whole.

Aint that the F'n truth !!!! ROFL...I wonder if they even realized that in their post!

NYBladeZ 05-12-2010 07:54 PM

mmmm roots type supercharger

NYBladeZ 05-12-2010 07:57 PM

Once both kits go out and we start getting some real life testimonies, that's when we'll see who comes out on top. Personally I think Sam has got it down, I really like how GTM designed the supercharger around the VQ motor instead of augmenting the VQ motor to the SC. In the end reliability, simplicity of install, and hp/tq figures will rule.

^bingo - too much BS from nut huggers just spoils decent threads anyways

Each there own and all that..

The more offerings the better, def some talented engineering out there, all the better for the end user.

I cant wait for the supercharger wars to be settled on a track!! Perfect situation = same driver, same day, same track, 2 different 370s with same supporting mods but different superchargers. Hopefully some magazine will do this!

Sam >>> would you pony up the shop supercharged Z for a comparo like this??

fstrnldr 05-13-2010 01:16 AM

All this talk of the IC efficiency in both SC threads, and unless i missed it nobody has mentioned the fact that the air temp starts with the superchargers efficiency. The different designs of the units as well as if the unit is operating in its peak range, will determine the base temperature the intercooler has to start with.

true that, which is why Id like to see temps before and after IC from both kits at different levels of driving, ie. 5K rpms and WOT.

Sam, thanks for being transparent through the whole process. I tip my hat sir.
