That's because winter isn't when you put on different tires, its when you send the car back in for MORE upgrades! DUH.

Kastley85891 10-01-2010 09:56 PM

SHUMBY - I would complain cause you got 8K on em... thats far far too much

Brazilbro 10-01-2010 10:40 PM

Oh thanks for the heads up shumby... I'm about to get my GTM TT Z on the road.. I bet its going to have the same problems your having... If I hadn't already spent so much money on this TT kit I would sell it and get the stillen SC.. I didn't take into account all the sets of tires I'd be burning.. I bet your MPG has droped too.. from all the heavy throttling

Since Shumby is and Automatic, he should have a little more problem with traction vs. an 6speed grear box.

Shumby: Your Avatar fits your personality, hahaha I love it.

de_dust 10-02-2010 03:37 PM

are there any new updates on the new parts sam was developing?

DannyGT 10-02-2010 03:54 PM

The new ported intake peice was a success! Working like the ptype did so mine should be coming mid this week and I can continue with the install, woot!

theDreamer 10-02-2010 04:09 PM

I should have mine this week also, and hopefully some new results with the long tube headers.

This is the information that I have been waiting on. Are you gonna post here or make a new thread? Before I saw this, I sent a message to Sam asking about the progress on matching LTHs up with their SC kit......

Bump for Z updated, read a bit hoping the c.a.r.b legal stage zero charger can be used with LTH and actually increase hp. :stirthepot:

Fezzik 10-12-2010 12:10 AM

Z eliminator 10-12-2010 09:09 AM

Can i still get this kit for $4995? What would be a good shop to have it installed?

shumby 10-19-2010 09:55 AM

you should give Sam a call and see what he says. he might know a shop around you. I don't think the intro pricing is still available.

i believe Z1 Motorsports is in GA..they're vendors on this forum and i know for a fact that they do install GTM kits..give them a call and ask for Dustin..he's a really cool guy and would be more than happy to answer all your questions.

Mythic 10-19-2010 11:28 AM

Awesome thanks guys! I'll let ya know what they say ;)

DarkZide 10-19-2010 03:14 PM

Let me know what they say, I'm not that far north of them. ;)

Zsteve 10-19-2010 03:52 PM

I need a good installer in Texas as I may get the GTM kit after I come back from NTC and will have a little extra duckies.

Is Houston close enough for you?

DannyGT 10-19-2010 04:51 PM

FYI - the new and improved pipe has arrived. I will continue installation this week/weekend. One thing to note off the bat is how much material was actually removed. The pipe is much thinner on the inside as far as the eye can see and its incredibly smooth on the inside.

I'll post up a quick vid later on today

So is this new pipe part of the kit now? And what was wrong with the original pipe?

Not sure he meant it in the way your taking it but none-the-less, I will answer that question...

There is no difference in pipe design. It was just, for lack of better terms, port and polished...They are applying that process to all the current pipes. I'm sure all new ones from here on out will already be casted properly.

A bit long ways, but would hate to see you go to a closer shop and run into problems.
For where you are I would suggest trailer it to the shop then when complete pick it up and drive home. Trailer fee would probably be around what it would cost to drive it out and such.

TX is so freakin big, I might just take it to GTM, I think they are only a couple more hrs than Houston.

Actually, it's only about a 20 mile difference. I have driven both. I would take it to GTM. :tiphat:

yea thats prolly what I will do after Xmas. GTM are you having a Hpoliday sales on the kits and install?

GUTCH 11-01-2010 12:43 PM

I figured I'd post this here as opposed to the "reviewed" thread where Shumby mentioned his tranny issue.

So what does that mean for the rest of us who have or want the automatic. Does GTM have a fix for this, or are they working on one?
