bullitt5897 03-01-2010 07:42 AM

Sam! you guys just knocked this one out of the park!!! with that price point you should sell ALOT of kits quick!!!

Red370 03-01-2010 07:51 AM

I was shocked at the pricing, PLEASANTLY shocked, i was expecting somewhere around 7k, bravo GTM, BRAVO.

One_Quick_Z 03-01-2010 08:04 AM

Wow this is exactly what I was hoping for! Wonder how long the intro pricing will last. I'm still a little ways off from having enough cash.

Barvo GTM, barvo :)

Nice work guys
Any ideas on install price (drive off) ? with the fair deal here, install costs are more reachable ;-)

Fuel upgrade costing, I assume , single pump , 600cc DW injectors etc.
Will you have relevant starter maps for the popular tuning platforms?
PM if you want.
Cheers

I think you'll still end up around $7k if you try to "do it right" as it were. Think clutch/flywheel, gauge setup, and perhaps some installation cost.

Still, $5k for a turn-key kit that puts out 420whp is very sweet. I was, like you, expecting to see something in the $7k range.

RCZ 03-01-2010 08:35 AM

I like what you did with the recirc, clever placement!

Got any pictures with the bumper on??

Good pricing too, its exactly what I expected.

Few quick questions...

1) Which trim is that in the picture? Looks like a tight squeeze already, wondering how the bigger ones will fit?

2) 90* elbow after a flattened intake tube and two 90* elbows on the way to the intercooler?

3) Hydrolocking concerns with the filters at the lowest point on the car?

4) Does that oil cooler sit behind the stock bumper?

5) What kind of dyno? What did the stock 370z put down on it?

6) Spellcheck

JB-370z 03-01-2010 08:39 AM

Sam you are going to sell tons of kits!!! Well done. As far as the Nissan aftermarket goes, I think I would take you guys for parts over stillen any day of the week. Masterminds in the Nissan/infiniti market, pure genius, congrats!

m4a1mustang 03-01-2010 08:39 AM

Raul,

My guess is going to be that hydrolock isn't much of a concern. Even with the "bulkheads" removed I don't think spray is going to be a big problem (the filters are far enough off into the corner of the bumper area that it's going to be tough for a significant amount of spray to make it's way over there.

I'm sure it will be fine unless you drive through deep water.

As for 2... I think you're right. Probably not ideal but my guess is it's the best solution possible given the space available.

Nice, I'm in!

2fast4thelaw 03-01-2010 09:28 AM

WOW! :tiphat: Good work Sam

I am actually very happy to eat my words from my previous predictions. I did not expect this kit to come in at 5K but I am very happy that it did. Damn it Sam, Now I am going to have to re-think the whole SC vs TT setup again after I thought I had my mind made up. I love how clean it looks under the hood and it sounds really sweet! Either way I go, without question GTM is getting my money!

I am very impressed with the results at stage1 on stock exhaust.

:excited::excited::excited:

Let me add, NICE machine work! I am very impressed!

Yeah man, my bumper is less than 4 fingers off the ground... 6" of water and that lower intake is submerged. I have seen waaaay deeper puddles around here. I'm just thinking what would happen if I had no choice but to go through something deep?

And yes, it was the best solution...if you put the sc there.

Steve, looks like you're gonna be making quite a nice amount of power! Congrats and you must post pics and review when you get it!
