Z eliminator 09-09-2010 09:33 AM

Z 's car will take a little longer as " Sam as something very special coming for him "
Shumby's car is a great car.
I feel that mine will be the total package.
Gears, tranny and ???? RWHP.
It may snow here before it see's the road with the new mod's.

Let me tell ya guys, I drive with a current member on the forum that owns a GTM SC kit and this thing is a fucl<in rocket. The weird thing is this kit sounds like it has BOV's 2 or 3 times louder than the twin's for sure, no joke. Having Sam's support 100% of the way makes this SC option a no brainer. Plus your engine bay stays looking OEM and not like a 5.0 Mustang.

you stay away from the Mustang hate buddy. Is Sam paying you to promote his products? that sounds like a promotional paragraph someone reads just before you click the "add to cart" button.

Really? Because it is my car and what he says is true.
You should realize that JB is a turbo lover to the end, him liking my car even is shocking to me.

not denying it, just said it sounded like an advertisement speech:tup:

Instructions

Danny has convinced me that somebody with a little mechanical acumen can install this.

This looks like a great winter project while the Z is hibernating. Does anybody want to provide a link to the install instructions? I emailed Sam, but haven't heard back.
I want to see how this stacks up to the TT instructions and decide whether I want to attempt it on my own.

Superchargers are very DIY friendly.

Zsteve 09-09-2010 01:36 PM

So how many hours is it suppose to take to install this kit? And the stage 1 kit is how much now?

GUTCH 09-09-2010 04:30 PM

LUVZTTZ

Here's a link I have created where you can download the G37 supercharger kit installation instructions. From what I have been told, it's pretty similar to that of the 370Z

http://www.yousendit.com/download/UF...dWN1YlB2Wmc9PQ

It's only up for 7 days.

Hope this helps. :tiphat:

Dreamer,
Lets get together this Sat and shoot some video's for these whine bags. A Stage 2 TT and Stage 1 SC, I will have a buddy do some video for us and what not. I want them to hear how loud and mean this SC kit really is. I might spool the Turbos a few times too ;) I know the guys on the G37 forum are dieing to hear the HKS BOV's.

Edit: Lets shoot after I take a buddy up to Baker Tuning to order a Silvia S15 in from Japan...;)

I promote GTM, or advertisement speech as you want to call it. You will find that all Sam's customers do this in one way or another. You know why? Well just in case you don't it's because GTM is that damn good. Awesome *** products that perform, look great, and backed by awesome customer service. So yea I think all of us advertise for SAM but you know what it is because he stands by us and we want everyone to know of are experience with them. Also to let everyone know that this is a great company to spend your hard earned money on for products.

Dream I am glade your car is running great. I was very surprised as well as you were with how well that canned tune performs. Everyone was telling me that my canned tune for my TT from SAM wasn't going to be good and that I should get a custom tune, but they were all wrong lol. Just goes to show that Sam has this car down to a science,

Frank

shumby 09-09-2010 05:28 PM

SAM and his crew know these cars inside and out. So much so that his tech's wish they could work on something else from time to time. That said They know these cars so well no "problem" or challange is ever out of their skill set to overcome.

DannyGT 09-10-2010 12:44 PM

Install at the moment is running me 15-20hrs. Not bad at all.

toner123 09-10-2010 03:36 PM

I know those cars lol. well except the GTR and the evo lol

GUTCH 09-11-2010 12:15 AM

Just some nitpicking on my part...

The press release here states:

Stage zero up to 450 HP (carb approval pending)
Stage one up to 500 HP
Stage two up to 525 HP
Stage three up to 550 HP

The GTM website states:

Stage zero up to 450 HP (carb approval in progress)
Stage one up to 500 HP
Stage two up to 550 HP

Anyone know which version above is correct? :ugh2:

christian370z 09-11-2010 12:37 AM

I believe the second list is correct, all the builds here that are stage two mention 550hp ratings.

GUTCH 09-11-2010 12:55 AM

There are stage 2 builds here? Where?

Q8y_drifter 09-11-2010 05:35 AM

Are the Stage 0, 1 and 2 just boost levels?

What about the other 71, 81 and 91 compressors?

Marco_xyz 09-11-2010 10:16 PM

Does anyone know the status on Stage zero up to 450 HP (carb approval pending)?? Do they have a approximate date on the approval results?

no they are not based on boost levels. they are the 71,81,91 compressors

Q8y_drifter 09-12-2010 04:23 AM

then what about the 61 compressor? what stage is that?

Z eliminator 09-13-2010 05:36 AM

I expect my stage 2 some time in the near future from Sam at GTM.
Once i get it i will post the dyno results. It a safe bet to say that it will be along time till i get it.

G37Sam 09-13-2010 05:44 AM

What's the delay with your kit Z?

RCZ 09-17-2010 08:51 AM

Not trying to start ****, I see that people here love GTM and people on the other thread love stillen so this is always going to be an issue.

But has anyone gotten third party dyno numbers on this kit yet? As in, has anyone not installed/tuned at GTM have numbers yet? I saw that there were delays with parts casting, but some people already have them and installed and dynoed?

About that... I think its straight retarded that you havent gotten your kit yet. Its as if theyve forgotten. Sure, I may not know the whole story, but id be on pissed mother to have already paid in full for my kit, and still waiting for it while I sit around twidling my thumbs watching kit after kit being installed, reviewed, tested, etc. While my money sits in their bank collecting interest and Ive still got nothing... Id be fuming. How do you stay patient?

shumby 09-17-2010 09:49 AM

^^ he is waiting on other parts as well. not just the SC.

Staples 09-17-2010 10:07 AM

Stage 2 is going to offer the 91 size compressor housing which is pretty much the biggest unit Rotrex offers in the C38 trim. This will be for the people that want to use longtube headers or test pipes (or just want to make more power in general). The stage 1 is too small to keep up with the lessen back-pressure, so if you have anything besides high flow cats and catback, your best bet is Stage 2.

DannyGT 09-17-2010 10:58 AM

Same update from my personal thread...

Here is where we stand...

From the beginning the only problem (if you would even call it that) was the intake pipe which caused delays to ship in the first place. Well the newly casted pieces are ALOT thicker than the prototype. So basically the p-type is performing better than final version. They are taking the steps needed to completely bore out the inside to reach its intended spec. Its unfortunatly, because its one of the things out of their control and ofcoarse someone had to F up.

Thats the gist of it right there...no gimmicks, no secrecy, no 'the car isnt running right', its simply that stupid casted intake piece.

Believe me, Sam is working like mad trying to get this sorted out to overnight me the piece as soon as its available. I have my daily driver so it isnt a problem for me but I am anxious to finish this thing now!

More updates as soon as I get the new piece (within the next week)
