I wouldn't mind hearing Sharif's view on the rear mount/(STS) but like I said, OT... Just let me know if you want to clean this thing up.. I will delete all OT of mine.

thank you for your consideration and kind-hearted understanding.

if you do not mind, can you please delete them.....

i too want this thread "to work out or at least get further than it is now."

thus, i would prefer the thread to be just limited to the interest of group buy....

nonetheless, you are free to speak up any comment or subject - lets just keep it pertinent.....:ughdance:

+1

1) A - timeframe 2-6mos
2) Def. S/C
3) its gonna come down to GTM or Stillen

Rickey89 02-02-2010 04:16 PM

A 8-16mo. (really it depends on when i have the money to pay for the kit and install
TT
Greddy or GTM (depending on what comes out such as the spec's and price I may get impatient and do Stillen SC(if i go SC ill go stillen, if not tt is greddy or gtm ))

GingaBreadMan 02-03-2010 11:51 AM

4 mos
TT
STS
Rehab starting now lol

BlackCherryZ 02-03-2010 07:32 PM

this is my guess, but once dyno results and price are publicized, there will be more interest....

plus, personally i m more inclined toward the most cost effective and reliable set up......

i had TT rx7 some years ago, but that was it............ not much of power, for i had not modded.......

if SC could make comparable RWHP output as TT at a fraction of the cost, i would be more than willing to take that route

for those who are interested in TT set-up, if a SC kit could make comparable RWHP at a fraction of the cost, would you not change your mind?

what we need is at least 10 ppl..............either TT or SC............. to maximize the discount.....

just a wishful thinking, but it would be nice to have a TT installed and tuned with all the appropriate supporting mods at about $10K and SC $6K with RWHP of about 450-500...........

perhaps doable with more than 15 ppl........*^^*

we shall see...................

StillenZ 02-03-2010 07:45 PM

BlackCherry, Just know that I am 100% in on a reliable 450-500 rwhp and the cost your talking! lol.. I love the very hopeful thinking... I swear to you I am in though as long as I haven't purchased something by the time this all happens.

m4a1mustang 02-03-2010 07:54 PM

Now how many of you guys have actually driven 450-500 rwhp before? :)

StillenZ 02-03-2010 08:21 PM

:icon18::icon18::icon18: I need a minimum of 450-500... It will be nasty. I can't say that I have driven 450-500 hp on a car this size... most of the vehicles I drive with that kind of power are bigger.. A couple of vets that were realistically probably 400 rwhp. BMW M5 and other big engine Beamers. I drive an 04 Benz S600 a couple times a week with a mild tune.. don't know actual rwhp and when I get back in my car ITS JUST NOT THE SAME! I try to avoid driving it when I'm feeling power hungry cause it just makes me mad to get back in my car... but that 5,280 lb. (don't quote me) beast doesn't handle quite like the good ole' Z!...

bout to run to the gas station guys... is it sad that I'm still excited that I get to take my Z?:happydance:

edit: the torque on those v-8's and v-12 is just crazy compared to the Z....and that's what I need! I will settle for less than the hp discussed if there are no reliable options (IMO at that time)

I'm just checking. I know there are a lot of people here who are calling for huge numbers but probably don't even know what anything over 400whp feels like.

BlackCherryZ 02-03-2010 08:49 PM

i never had anything 450-500 RWHP....

just had stock 300zx (2), RX-7 twin turbo, pathfinder, maxima, TL, Avalon, S2000, Civic, Scion........ changed cars every 2 or so..... *^^*

well, in terms of RWHP, i just would like to have something that is capable.........

not that i will race everyday........but now and then, when you look to your right or left and you see a guy/gal with right thumb up.........i do not want to be intimidated.......

to be honest, i do not have a good street race history - lost every time i guess.....

but i was told that once you have the power under the hood, you tend to street race less........ of course, i am talking about daily drivers........... not street racers....

anyway, just want to go "nuts" before i get married or have other dire financial obligations..... i am thinking once you get married, you actually lose your freedom.... *^^*

m4a1mustang 02-03-2010 08:52 PM

Well if you haven't driven something with that much power you are probably going to **** your pants.

i really hope so............:nutswinger::inoutroflpuke::tup:

about 5 years ago, when i had my s2000, i had the pleasure of "tasting" about 400 RWHP S2K at inlinepro in VA.

the total asking cost was $9K including installation, tuning, and all the supporting mods.

i felt in love instantly, so i even put down a deposit........... my car would had been the first one to have that realm of RWHP for s2k............. this is about 5 years ago..........

but due to unexpected financial obligations, i had to withdrawal............

before purchasing my 370z, i had a big dilemma........s2k or z......

fyi, inlinepro is currently running 900+ RWHP s2ks..........

nonetheless, convertible is convertible.........the road noise is just unbearable to the unaccustomed........... so i decided on Z...............

but after the first wk, the road noise was the same............ but i had been accustomed to s2k, so i was ok.............

just crossing my fingers to have more ppl interested........... i am actually decent/good at negotiations, so we will just have to see....
