Clutch delay valve

Anyone used a clutch slipper or delay valve on their Z? I’m really wanting to put one in but curious how people were controlling it. I would like to link it to the ECU so it shuts off in 2nd gear or maybe even have one that can adjust the flow rate depending on the gear… Looks like the magnus manual valve is the go to but there’s actually a lot of these on the market

No real way you can plug it into the factory ECU with Ecutek. When SOHO installed my coolant pressure sensor they had obviously never done it before and made one hell of a mess. I bought a new main engine harness because of it. $1900 dollars worth. My car started missing and throwing O2 codes ever since. So, the only way you can do it is if you go to a standalone.

Yep that seems to be the issue. I can wire it to a switch in the car for 1st gear for now until I can figure something out

you can wire up a microcontroller to read your current selected gear off the can bus, via obd2 port. (i think)
Probably. MotorvateDIY would probably know how to do it.

If you have syncro rev match, the current gear position is on the CAN bus... but I think it may be better to use vehicle speed.
For example, while the vehicle speed is between 0 (staged) and 20 MPH (or what ever number works best) the clutch delay valve is enabled.

After 20 MPH the clutch delay valve is not enabled, allowing full clutch clamping for shifts. Just my 2¢
