Installed Catch Can and received code P0171
Hello Everyone, I am still learning about cars through out my journey of installing mods, and I came across a problem these past few weeks. I am running 3 Inch intakes (RZG) which are like the admin intakes. They have no port to connect to the backside crankcase opening (CCV). Because of that I was forced to run a PCV delete, my car was running great! But as I did research I found out that in the long run it is actually bad to run a PCV delete on the car. So I decided to go the Catch Can Route. I decided to buy ADD W1 dual catch can, I installed it and it looked great! Later that day after running the car I noticed the oil pressure light came on, so I immediately stopped and checked under the hood. There was high pressure coming out of the oil dipstick, the next day I figured out the problem, I noticed I left the backside crankcase openings closed with a plug because of my previous PCV delete. I decided to connect some hoses and attach breathers at the end of the houses, and that got rid of the excessive pressure. A day later I was driving and I received a Code P0171 lean on bank 1. I want to know you guys opinions and views on the situation, I would really appreciate it thank you.
Down below I attached pictures of my current set up Also I noticed the little filter breather attached to the hose on the passenger side is not fully in, since its not the same size as the hose maybe that could cause the car to be running lean?? |
