If they are a greaseless turbo. They need to be in an air flow. There is not enough air flow under the car where they are at.

No offense to anyone, but I hate when I see people talk about returning to the dyno because of wrong components that don’t support the goal they were trying to reach. Definitely a lot of info to make better decisions beforehand, and the tuner should know better. Its a waste of money in my eyes to pay for a few hours on the dyno, just to swap out injectors and then need to redo the whole dyno session

Most people when it comes to power always have progressively expanding goals. I thought no way I would ever need more than 1050cc injectors, yet here I am needing more.

The owner mentioned that he ran out of injector to make 1000whp. The tuner said he just needs to change the wastegate spring

There's plenty of Mustang 5.0 and GT 350s using these same turbos in the same location. I even know of a Hellcat using them for making 1200WHP.

There is a reason why back in the early 80's folks hated turbo cars. They went out all the time. Why??? Because they were only oil feed and cooled. In the late 80's most all turbo cars went to liquid cooled center sections for longevity. The only reason Comp offers these turbo's is for ease of installation. Simpler packaging. They have their pitfalls and that is longevity. Comp sucks in customer support also. Warranty, yeah. Out of site, out of warranty.

I've dealt with these type of turbo's in an industry application in the past. And they have been a nightmare.

I am well aware of the changes that have been made to turbo's over the years. I also fully understand the reason why Comp offer's these types of turbos. That doesn't change the fact that a lot of people are using them and that was my point.
Hell even Precision Warranty sucks and have been proven to fail at times ,but everyone still Uses them still because there cheap and make power.

Not doubting what you do for a living. As I stated people are using them time will really tell how reliable these air cooled turbos are. As of right now a crap load of Domestic cars are using them and seem to be happy with them way more of them that us.
