[BP single kit] COMP turbo fails after 882 miles.

Got a response from Comp, finally, regarding what caused the damage.

Their response was:

"Hello [Betty],

The unit was damaged internal to see what caused the issue so that’s why it was covered under warranty."

I asked if they had specifics on what caused the damage. The response:

"Production advised the clearances might have tight which caused the wheel to rub and caused the failure. All damaged parts have been replaced or repaired and it is ready to ship. Please contact shipping to proceed."

So there ya go folks! Tight clearance. In a turbocharger. Who woulda thought?
